Up for auction is my 1996 Honda XR250L. I have been the original owner since new (well, since dad bought it for me as a kid). It only has 1,103 miles on it, original and true. I rode this bike alot in the yard growing up, and now that i'm in my 30's and it's sat for several years - it's time to find it a good home with someone that will use it. The bike had been sitting for a number of years up until this spring (2015) when i had it torn apart, cleaned up, and tuned up. We brought it up to our cottage to do some trail riding and it's been running great (maybe a little bit rich?). However, all the family now has quads, myself included, and I just don't ride this anymore. Years ago (when I was a kid and thought I knew it all...) I took all the turn signals and brakelight off the bike, because all my friends had CR's and it wasn't "cool". Well, I realized what an idiot I was, so i purchased new front and rear fenders, new "modern" lights, and hooked everything back up. Something isn't wired quite right because the turn signals just stay on, and the brakelight doesn't work. But I haven't messed with anything to see what I may have miswired. The bike has been painted in matte black, and has a new seat cover to match. Comes with street tires and knobbies, as well as a box of the original parts. This is a GREAT bike for someone, it just doesn't get use anymore. *-I have the dirtbike listed for sale locally also.
