Vehicle Detail
This MB 380 SLC is for sale by its second owner. A California car, it is a perfect candidate for restoration, existing pretty much in its original condition. The rare SLC version, is longer than its more common SL cousin, and has a louvered window (they need repainting, see photos) at the rear seat position. See the photos and zoom in for better understanding. This vehicle has wear to its interior as should be expected. It has been well cared for and garage kept for the duration of its life. Plenty of "real" chrome throughout. "They just don't build them like this anymore" is a quote often associated with this vehicle. This coupe runs and drives nice. Has a brand new battery, and starts up at first asking. The engine is strong and in good working order. The heater does not work currently, but just needs a small part to be back in working order. The AC works too, and has been switched over to modern coolant. Other issues to note are a couple of cracks in the dash (common occurance), the speedometer/odometer stopped working recently, and the dent in the right rear of the car (see photos). The trunk lid paint has flaked off and become worn looking. Also a couple small areas of rust on back deck near bottom of window, but otherwise pretty rust free. There is a small ding in the rear chrome (minor). Quite a few door dinks in the passenger side, not so much on driver's side - all minor. Rims need repainted. You can zoom in on the photos to see more. This great car has been placed at a low price with no reserve, so it can get back into circulation and hopefully restored, as it is deserving of it......Let us know if you have any questions. We have noted a local pick up on the car, but we will work with you to find a carrier (fee to be paid by buyer) so you can get the car shipped back to you. Please let us know if you have any questions, and we will do our best to answer them. We can also get more pictures should you need them. Thanks and good luck!!
