PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION PRIOR TO BIDDING Up for sale is my 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. Black on black, leather, power everything, every option available other than the Earnhardt package. Moonroof, alloy wheels, dual power seats, dual front airbags, driver side impact airbag. I am the second owner. Original window sticker is still with the car, was a $29,000 car when new. Has the very reliable 3.8 V-6 and 4-speed automatic transmission. Heat and A/C both work perfectly, runs and drives nicely for the age and miles. New parts in the past year: -alternator -tires -all brakes/rotors -upper intake -motor mounts -Transmission fluid/filter -battery (about a year and a half) All vehicle problems: -Some rust around the rear wheels, to be expected on a 13 year old Wisconsin car. Has been touched up - please see photos. -Check Engine light is on - missing downstream oxygen sensor. Does not affect driveability or performance at all. -Air bag light is on - body control module was replaced with a used unit from a wrecked car with deployed air bags. Dealer may be able to reset, I'm not sure. -Does not go into overdrive - I'm told the valve body would need to be removed and cleaned or rebuilt. Car drives fine without overdrive, currently daily driven 75 miles a day. -Cruise control does not turn on (because of having no overdrive) -Gas gauge reads full all the time. "Fuel Used" function works fine, so I just go by that. I am describing everything I know about the car, including every flaw I am aware of. It runs and drives very well, and is still daily driven 75 miles. Miles may be slightly higher at auction's end because of this. This is still a used vehicle however, and will be sold as-is. An as-is agreement will have to be signed in order to receive the vehicle and title from me. Cash only - NO SHIPPING. This is not a new car and is priced accordingly. If you look around the sold items on ebay, the car would actually be worth well over $2000 in pieces. UPDATE 11-6: I have had a couple questions about the valve body. The car drives well as it is. Basically the car is not going to be able to accelerate to the point of spinning the tires, and at times it even feels like a slight slip. Sometimes the pressure is a bit higher and the shifts feel more firm than normal. I trust the car and drive it daily, but I wouldn't recommend driving it three states away without a backup plan. CORRECTION: In the original listing, I had said this was a $29,000 car when new, going from memory. Apparently my memory is not as good as I thought, and the original window sticker is just under $27,000. No difference in the car, just making sure I'm being completely honest.
