Vehicle Detail
This is a very rare truck. She is one of 1229 made in 1967. I'm very attached, but I have no time, too many toys to give her the attention she needs. I want to see someone restore her. It is a 67, 4x4, short bed, small window, stepside. She originally had a straight 6. Ive owned it for about 5 or 6 years, had real good intentions, but its just not in my reality right now. When I bought it, I took out the axles and put in 80's axles out of a K10 with 3.08 gears. She cruises at 60 now, before she would scream with the 4.10's. I also upgraded the brakes to power discs, so now she stops too. While I was down there, I put in new 4" lift leaf springs, new shocks, bushings, ball joints and u-joints. Frame is perfectly solid. Also has power steering. Bed is in pretty good shape. It needs the steps, and a small patch at the bottom of each fender where they meet the step. Interior is in nice shape too. Dash isn't cut up. The cab needs work. Rockers, outer floor patches, work around the windshield and the drip rails, and will need doors and a hood. Honestly, I had plans to replace the cab, its very rough. The previous owner did a light resto in the 80's and she got a new 350 target motor, supposedly has about 16,000 on it, but I cant promise you that. Just going by what the last guy told me. It runs really strong, no smoke, no lifter tap, nothing. Has new dual exhaust out the back with cherry bomb type mufflers. Sounds great. Has 4 speed manual, shifts great. Could use a little carb tuning, but it always starts right up. Runs and drives as is. Centerline wheels with 33" rubber. Wood in bed is solid, needs to be varnished, stainless strips are in great shape. Good thing is, she is extremely rare and she is complete. You don't find these everyday. Please contact me for more pictures or if you want video of it, or pictures of a specific area. Thanks.
