You're looking at a nice 1984 280GE (eBay wants a 17 digit VIN for 1981 and newer, this was originally sold in Germany). Not perfect, but still nice. Here's the story: First I drive this car regularly and enjoy it a lot. I'm selling because I'm losing my storage space and have to cull the herd a bit and after hard thought, this is one that drew a short straw. It runs well, runs cool, everything works with the exception of the Webasto engine heater. I believe it to be original paint.The interior is in good condition exceptions are the driver seat which has two tears (shown in photos) and there are two cracks in the dash.Transmission shifts perfectly, no hiccups.Brakes are ok, but there is an occasional tendency to pull to the right, they should be looked at. (I drive the car 3-4 times per week, 20-30 mile each time, surface street and freeway, they're safe, but not perfect).There will be a new front driveshaft included with the sale. The front drive shaft is currently removed as it was worn out and the originals are not serviceable. If I have time before the auction ends, I will install the driveshaft for you. Front axle and transfer case are in perfect working order. I have a few misc. bits for the car such as new 280GE logos for the mirrors, anything I have will be included with the rig. There is some rust, shown in photos, there is no rust in the floors, sills or anywhere that you can't see in the photos. I have put photos up that show the rust on the truck. Tires have 90% tread left, all matching, and in good condition. Bilstien Shocks all around. No A/C, heater works perfectly. I do not know the true milage, the odometer was not working when I bought the car, and is still nonfunctional. From condition, I would estimate 120-140,000 km (85,000 miles) Clear title in my name. The truck has been in the US for some time it is not a recent import, there are no issues with customs, etc. Please ask any questions that you have, happy to answer them. Thanks!
