Vehicle Detail
1948 Buick Estate Wagon (Woody) This is a 1949 Buick Super 8 Estate Woody Wagon. I'm told there's less than 20 in the world left. Restored at current values the car would likely bring over $100,000. The car was recently found in a barn near Nashville TN. It was sitting in there for over 40 years. Considering its never been restored and over 60 years old, it survives well. The car still sports its original paint and is mostly complete, the hub caps are missing. The body remains very solid with only minimal rust issues. The original rear fender skirts are even in the car. The original straight eight drive train is there and the body and trim tags are present and in good shape. The tires hold air and the car rolls fine. The car obviously will need restoration but, boy will it be worth it. The car is located just south of Nashville by about 20 minutes. I do have pictures under the hood. If you'd like them, please text me and I'll fire them off to you. What an amazing car. If you have questions, please call Houston Wills at 210-548-1310. The car will come with a Notarized Bill of Sale only. PAYMENT AND STORAGE bA $500 deposit is required from the winning bidder, due electronically via PayPal within 24 hours after the auction ends, to hold the vehicle. I do not accept Paypal for payments over $500. Deposits only. I will not be accepting trades. Respectfully, please bid responsibly by having any required financing in place before committing to purchase the vehicle as full payment is due within 7 days of auction end via cash or certified bank check (drawn on a major US bank). I can hold the vehicle for 15 days at no charge to the winning bidder after the auction (the charge is $15.00 per day after 15 days unless other arrangement made). I apologize in advance, but bidders with zero feedback will have their bids canceled, no matter what the amount, unless you contact me in advance of bidding. Bidders outside North America (anywhere other than the US, Canada, or Mexico “mainland”) are welcome to bid, but also must phone me before bidding.
