Vehicle Detail

1976. America was celebrating her bi-centenial, Carter was in office -and in the south a young Dr was taking delivery of his beautiful brand new Mercedes SL. -Almost 30 Years later, I had the honor of taking possession of what was someone's pride and joy -and she became mine. She was silver with red hides. I had her repainted a beautiful darker silver (smoke) with silver flake metallic to match my 1968 Porsche, repaired any rust, replaced the front seats, added back seats, replaced every single thing that was even a little bit off (shocks, belts, brakes, just ask). The wheel well in the trunk was rusting so i had that repaired completely. I hated the original steering wheel so I replaced with an OEM SL wheel from an earlier year. Long of the short, this vehicle is stunning. She drives straight and true and handles effortlessly. She is an antique, but she drives virtually new. I can assure you that no expense was spared. I have all original books and records. Downsides: soft needs replacement (it still functions, but i would replace) and the carpet driver's side needs attention, but no visible as i have carpet mats over, as well as a bald spot on the "hump". I have a hard top for her as well (in the original silver, but can have it painted by my shop if you would like, but you would need to pay for that. It will be at cost, as I have restored a number of vehicles and know the shop well, as they do me) And I have a set of aluminum rims that will come with. If you have ANY questions, please contact me. I have been a member of the Mercedes Benz Club of America for well over a decade, the ONLY reason for her sale is SPACE (aforementioned Porsche is finally done after 5+ year complete restoration and needs a place to live). She was just serviced and is ready to DRIVE. This vehicle needs to go to the next person who will care for her and can house her properly. I do not think I have forgotten anything. just ask any questions and I will answer. Oh and if you cannot buy DO NOT BID. Thank you and good luck.On Oct-14-15 at 18:19:40 PDT, seller added the following information: 1976.
