PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO READ THIS AD FULLY!!!!!!! *****LOW RESERVE *** LOW BUY IT NOW*** ****PLEASE READ THE WHOLE AD*********** This is for a One owner local 1978 Lincoln Mark V with 86K original miles on it.First off,I have all the original paperwork and window sticker.I also had a Marti report done on it(see photos) and according to it this car is one of only 202 with this Paint and trim code.See all 24 photos.This car has been sitting for several years before I got it.Luckily the original owner kept Stabile additive in the gas so it did not go bad.It has been in the same owners name since new,up until a couple of months ago,when I bought it.It was bought brand new in on 11-8-77 in La Fayette Alabama at King Ford Sales.This is the most desirable year for the last of the Mark V's, as for the engines go.1978 was the last year you could order a big block 460 4 brl engine option with factory dual exhaust.The 79 model was the last of this body style, but they came only with a very underpowered 400 2 brl.This car runs and drives Great,but has been sitting.It will need a little brake work before putting her on the road,to be safe.The front caliper on the passenger side is not working right,it is sticking.The car will stop, but I would not drive it any distance until the brakes are fully checked out.With that said the car runs excellent.It is very smooth and quiet and the trans shift perfect.It has factory Dual exhaust which is still in good shape also.Everything still works including both power seats and windows. The A/C which is still r12 works and is cool but could probably use a can of freon.The car has a fairly new set of tires mounted on the Factory Lincoln Turbine wheels.This car came with factory wire caps and I still have them.If the buyer would prefer,I can have the new tires switched to the original wheels,with wire caps.The body is still wearing its original paint and is very straight and solid.The doors open and shut like new.Other than a very small hole,smaller than a penny, by the back edge of the vinyl top there is NO rust thru any where.Just surface rust around the edges from sitting,so the all the rust areas you see in the photos,are just surface rust ONLY.The underside is Rock solid.The interior is in very good shape with only a couple of seam tears at the very top of the back seat from some sun damage.This could be fixed with a cap.Other than that the interior is in amazing shape for a 37 year old car.Even the dash is perfect with NO cracks.The inside of the trunk is still in great shape and even still has the rare original inflatable spare with its original inflator canister still in place.All the lights work.The hida-way headlights also still work and stay shut when not in use. Again keep in mind,this is a 37 year old car,that is pretty much unmolested and still all original. These car are rising quickly in price now,so here is a chance to get a good,solid documented car for a great price. Due to the BRAKE issue,it would be best to be trailered.It will crank right up and drive onto a trailer with no problems.Let me know if you need it shipped.I have several co's I deal with and I will be glad to get you a quote,just send me your zip code through ebay messages.
