Vehicle Detail
I purchased this truck in 2004 with 75,000 miles. The mileage since then has been mostly highway with no highway towing. The truck was used for traveling with my dogs to field trial competitions all over the southeast. It has been meticulously maintained as I wanted to ensure I would never have a problem while traveling with the dogs. I have all of the maintenance records and a spreadsheet recap that you can find in the photos section. The truck is sound, the motor is strong, and the transmission was rebuilt with a RevMaxx triple disc converter that rocks! There are some mild power mods that probably add about 100hp. A new Kenwood KDC-X998 stereo with HD radio, bluetooth, XM, and Kenwood speakers. The truck is a lot of fun to drive. When you hit the pedal, it will flat get it on! I recently purchased a 2013 Ram 2500, so this one has to go. If you're a fan of these 2nd Gen Rams and are looking for a good workhorse, a good daily driver, or one to customize and modify, this is the truck for you. Here are the items you should know. There are a few dings in the rear bumper, a ding on the top of the tailgate, and some surface rust on the bottom of the passenger door. The dash is cracked, which is typical for this model truck. You can get a reproduction replacement from www.LMCTruck.com for $260. The center console lid has some tears, but I am including a new (used) console replacement. You just have to remove the front seat to install the console. The passenger seat has a burn hole from previous owner and is the same size as 12 years ago. If you look closely at the paint on the hood, you might see lines that look like scratches, but they're not scratches. It's some age defect underneath the clear coat and you can't feel it. It's only noticeable if you're close and looking in the right sunlight. The steering has some play, but I never noticed it until I got my new truck. In 2008 the driver side had a minor slow speed impact on the driver side doors. Both doors were replaced, no other body or frame damage. The truck is in Fort Walton Beach FL. It was just serviced and is ready to be driven to it's new home. I can pick you up at the Fort Walton Beach airport (VPS). Actual mileage is 254,500. See photo of odometer.******************* On Sep-29-15 at 04:40:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Several have asked about the rust on passenger door. If you look at the primary photo of the truck (passenger side shot), magnify the browser to 150% and look at the bottom of the door, you probably don't see anything. That's how slight the rust is. It's a few spots of surface rust that can easily be killed and covered without body work. Post a question and I'll send pix.
