Up for auction is this 1979 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser. This cruiser is all stock except for the aluminum corner panels. It has had the same owner for the last 33 years and was last driven as a daily driver in 1999. The owner then parked it due to some rear-end noise. It has the original Toyota 2F engine and 4-speed transmission which runs and drives great besides the slight rear-end noise. The brakes are good. The original factory upholstery shows expected wear. It has newer stock tires. It also comes with the original Toyota toolkit and jack. This is the stock paint job in the Toyota Dune Beige with dealer decals from when it was purchased brand new off the lot. The body has the classic/typical FJ40 rust (as shown in the pictures). All the gauges and dash controls work except the fuel gauge. It has a small oil leak on the transfer case seal. With some minor tuning this could be a daily driver as is or a good start for a restoration project.
