2001 Ford Excursion 7.3 DIESEL I am the second owner of the Excursion. I have had it 3 years and put 40,000 miles on it. Both the first owner and I were fanatical about the Excursion with the care and maintenance. It is the Limited Edition in Oxford White with Parchment Leather. Immaculate condition inside and out. On a scale of 1-10, it is a 9 to 9.5. When I bought this vehicle 3 years ago, I wanted an immaculate vehicle. I searched for 3 months and looked at 152 Excursions before I bought this one in Houston. It was a one owner and garage kept. I talked to the original owner and they had bought it new when their children were young. They drove all over southern Texas to soccer games with the vehicle loaded with kids. Once the kids were grown and out of soccer, they traded it in, in 2012, for a smaller Lexus SUV. I bought it from the Lexus dealership and was able to talk to the original owner. He was an engineer and very fastidious with his maintenance and care of the vehicle, changing the oil every 3000 miles. When it was being shipped from Houston to Oklahoma, the shipping company hit the luggage rack on the shipping trailer. It cost their insurance company about $1500 to repair. While in the shop being repaired, I had the body shop install 3 layers of DynaMat on the floor and 2 layers on the underside of the roof.
