Up for auction is a chance in a life time to own a NOS 1988 Honda TRX 250R four wheeler that was built brand new from the crate. This machine is 100% new and has never had fuel in it (never started), and has been in my private collection for some time now. This is a serious collector machine that has long since been discontinued from Honda. The 1988 is one of the most sought after years due to it's all red color and rareness. There were not too many of the 1988 models made and certainly very few exist new today like this one. The story is this Honda TRX 250R was kept as a personal bike by an older gentleman who owned a Honda dealership. The Honda ended up in an estate sale and was purchased by the second owner and placed into storage for many years until I purchased it and stored it until now. At some point in time someone removed it from the crate and put it all together but luckily never started it. The machine is completely new down to the tires which still have the original Ohtsu stickers on them from the factory. These machines simply just don't get any newer than this one, unless it remains in the crate. The chain was even kept off this TRX 250R to keep from scratching the rear skid plate and chain slider, and to keep from marking up the rear sprocket (chain not available). The rear sprocket remains completely unmarked and new since it has had the chain off of it since it was newly built. There is no title for the TRX (Texas bill of sale included), and it didn't come with a key when purchased, also to keep the ignition from being scratched up (Who would start it anyway?). Unfortunately the seat was ripped during shipping (shown in photo), but can be repaired to new (service available here on EBAY), or replaced with a new NOS seat.
