Car is being relisted because the winning bidder was a ebay scammer. NOTE: The engine is NOT being included in the sale. It will be removed before the auction ends. The brakes were just totally replaced, new front rotors, calipers, new rear brakes including all the hardware, all brake lines and hoses were replaced, master cylinder was replaced, brake pedal assembly was bead blasted and painted, hand brake assembly was bead blasted and painted, emergency brake cables were replaced. All new fuel lines, gas tank, entire fuel system was overhauled.New shocks, steering damper.With the engine that is currently in the car it runs and drives perfectly. I do have an engine I can include in the sale, it wont be installed in the car, It's a good 1600 dual port out of a 70 beetle. As you can see from the pictures the body has rust in the usual places. The body work done by the previous owner wasn't done correctly but he did use american made still replacement panels. I also have American made replacement panels for most of the areas that need to be fixed. These panels are heavy gauge steel, not the Brazilian type. I have the VW caps for the wheels, tires are in good condition.Recently purchased a nice tonneau cover that I did not install. The top needs to be replaced, I believe I know someone who has a complete top including the frame. I can put you in touch with that person. I do have the frame which is included in the deal The interior is really nice considering it sat for so long, the radio is AM/FM/SW The car needs work underneath and I don't have the time or the resources to deal with it. I currently have a 71 Westy (75% done) , 67 Barracuda Convertible (95% done), 66 Mustang Convertible(30% done) something has to go, too many projects..
