Vehicle Detail

For your consideration, a 1956 Chevrolet Belair. As you can see in the pictures she's a 4 door, 6 cylinder car. Let me say right off that This is NOT A Show car. That being said it is a very presentable every day driver, that everyone loves, we were even given a trophy at the local cruise night for most original car. A ton of work has gone in to the car to include, A full tune up, and oil change, new fuel pump, new spark advance, new carburetor which is the correct Rochester B|C model. New intake, exhaust, and pushrod cover gaskets. Brand new factory weather stripping has been installed on all 4 doors and the trunks. The trunk divider and insulation panels are new as well. We have gone totally through the brake system on the car, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders & brake shoes on all 4 wheels. Every mechanical function on this car works just as it should. This is a Drive anywhere classic car. Cosmetically the car looks nice, there are a few flaws in the paint but none of them show from more than a few feet away. A lot of the chrome has been replaced including the front bumper & bumper guards , fender extensions, hood bar and extensions, the hood logo and bezel, the hood ornament, all the exterior door handles, the Belair script on the quarter panels, the rear bumper guards, and we had the tail light bezels re-chromed as well. The tail light lenses are new as are the parking light lenses. The interior has new carpets kick-panels and headlight dimmer switch , and the original seats are very nice. All interior lights work as does the original cigarette lighter and dash clock. The factory radio is in the car and does power up, but no sound comes out. We ordered a new tube for it, hopefully that will fix the problem , but for the sake of this I have to say it's not working. Aside the radio the only thing I know doesn't work right it the drivers rear window wont go down. We are the 3rd owners of the car, and have all paper work dating to the day it was sold new, including the original owners manual, title, dealer invoice and even a copy of the check, that the car was purchased with. Take a look at the car run and drive, http://youtu.be/QhTmPXDcuKs . This a no reserve auction, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, as the car is also listed locally. Please feel free to ask questions, and happy bidding!!! I did want to add that I found a small exhaust leak around the doughnut gasket today, It's not terribly loud but it's there. Just trying to make sure the add is as accurate as I can make it.
