0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false We are selling a 2002 Dodge Durango 5.9 R/T that came to us via new car dealership trade. This Dodge Durango 5.9 R/T is in remarkable condition. It is obvious that it was garage kept and the previous owner took pride in their vehicle. I have personally driven this vehicle for a week. The car starts right up, and runs and drives perfectly. The transmission shifts as it should. The brakes stop well. And it runs down the road straight. This car has a few highway miles, but it’s in better condition than most 3-4 year old cars I see on a regular basis. We installed a brand new interstate battery here at our shop for the next owner. For those of you that don’t know this isn’t your typical Dodge Durango that came with the 4.7 liter “power tech” V8. This is the original factory “hot rod” SUV. What Dodge did was take the RAM 2500’s drive train and drop it in the Durango. The car has the legendary 360 cubic inch magnum v8, and a heavier duty transmission. It runs tough and strong and has the most towing capacity of any midsize SUV. There are many other special options that came only with the 5.9 R/T package. I will outline everything below. If you don’t know the difference please google the history of the Durango 5.9 R/T to better understand the vehicle. This beautiful Durango is finished in silver paint that appears to be a very high quality complete repaint. It looks and shines like brand new! The 5.9 R/T package received a special interior. The seats are two tone black and grey leather with grey suede inserts with embroidered R/T logos. The door panels also have the matching grey suede inserts. This SUV is equipped with the rare 3rd Row seat option that makes it able to carry 7 passengers. The seat folds conveniently out of place for storage in the trunk floor and doesn’t impede cargo capacity when it’s not in use. All of the 5.9 R/T’s were fully loaded from the factory. They feature full time all wheel drive with the option for locking 4wd high and low ranges. Dodge borrowed the famous Jeep Quadratrac system from their sister company in order to achieve this. When I say fully loaded I mean fully loaded. Luxury features include power windows, power door locks, power seats, power mirrors, heated seats, heated mirrors, power antilock brakes, ICE COLD air conditioning, Premium AM/FM Cassette and CD Infinity Gold stereo with an additional 6 Disc CD changer in the center console and more. The 5.9 R/T’s were upgraded to 17” wheels from the factory, and this particular one features the optional factory chrome wheel package, as you can see the tires are like brand new with almost 100% tread. They also included larger fender flares and body color matched running boards. There are no check engine lights, strange noises or fluid leaks. The engine is quiet, smooth and powerful. This Durango runs tough! The engine produces tons of power and torque on demand. The 5.9 R/T package also included an upgraded free flowing exhaust system that has a bit of a throaty burble. It sounds like a subdued muscle car, without being loud or obnoxious. The previous owner had a built in K40 Radar and laser detector system with front laser jammer installed. It has a class III trailer hitch and is ready to tow anything you can attach behind it. This particular car will make a great family car, commuter car, or a safe and reliable first car for your new driver, it will make it through any weather while transporting you in comfort and style. Now every used car has it’s flaws – otherwise it wouldn’t be used! Here is what our inspection has revealed. There is a tiny door ding to the right of the driver’s side door handle. There is a 1” scratch on the rear bumper on the driver’s side. It’s not really noticeable, but it’s there. The driver’s seat has some very wear in the leather, but more typical of a 2-3 year old car than a 13 year old one. I have tried to photograph all the flaws as best I can so there are no surprises. Overall it’s a VERY nice car especially for the year. I would rate it a 9 /10 overall and I’m VERY picky with cars. I tend to be overly critical and under describe cars, but I’d rather you be impressed when you get your new car rather than disappointed due to the unrealistic descriptions that many dealers offer. Any inspections must take place on site at our facility, and be concluded before the end of the auction. NJ residents MUST pay 7% sales tax in addition to the winning price of the bid. No exceptions. Out of state residents must pay their own taxes when they go to register the car in their local municipality. All purchasers (including dealers) must pay a $150 documentation fee, which covers the cost of overnight mail and title transfer, ebay fees etc. Temporary vehicle tags are available to both in state and out of state residents, they cost $25. Non-resident temp tags are valid for 20 days from the date of issuance. Resident temp tags are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. All cars are sold as-is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. All retail customers will be obligated to to sign an as-is where is acknowledgement as part of the purchase paperwork. Please be advised that pictures and descriptions provided are in order to best describe vehicle. Buyer should expect to find 'normal wear' that would be consistent with the vehicles age and mileage. Older vehicles may show undercarriage rusting consistent with vehicles age and mileage.
