1954 V-41 Military Dodge power wagon with long 127 inch wheelbase. This is one of the last M-37 variants made. It was delivered to Griffiss Airbase in Rome NY and was used as a personnel carrier and tow truck. The boom is not available but the chassis is outfitted for a boom. Due to the long wheelbase it rides and drives notably better than the short wheelbase M37.The truck is original and runs well. My uncle was in charge of the trucks at the airbase and selected all of the necessary replacement parts needed for the long term future of the truck. We used it for years to go into our remote hunting camp. The 24 volt system has been very reliable, we have never had to charge a battery. It will start even after setting for a year. In the last few years we have featured it in local parades and car shows. We were presented with the most popular vehicle a few years age, The kids love the look and steel thickness. The weight is 8,000 Lbs. The front drivers window has a crack but a new window is included.
