Vehicle Detail
1979 Jeep CJ7 full restored and ready for a new home. This is one fine piece of machinery and is the original AMC 304 V8 big block jeep with an all steel tub and original motor. Too many of the jeeps you see are fiberglass bodies with chevy engines, this is a real deal survivor that I have owned for the last 10 years. I bought it from a 50 yr old guy who had owned it for just as long, so for atlas the last 20+ years this gem has always been keep in a heated garage and babied by adults. This has not been beat on, beat up or dragged through the ropes. At the same time this is not intended to be a show car, this is a daily driver that will turn more heads than anything else you can find. You can not take this jeep for a ride without someone making a comment on it. There have been 4,062 miles on this jeep since the restoration and that what shows on the odometer. Details: 1979 Jeep CJ7 with original steel tub which has been rhino lined on the insideFull restoration was done on vehicle right before I bought it and I have put less than 1500 miles on itThe Original AMC 304 V8 motor was completely rebuild and it runs and drives like a top. In 10 years I have never had a single problem with itIt has a Trail master lift that was professionally installed and 35 Super Swampers tires on itThe interior has red and black neoprene seat covers over original seats which are very comfortableI have only the two metal half doors you see in the pic, NO HARD DoorsIt has a removable Bimini top that is very easy to put on or fold in the backTHERE IS NO HARD TOP OR SOFT TOP with this jeep. As I mentioned it has been garaged keep for the last 20 years and never driven in bad weather so they just weren't neededI have just recently replaced the battery, started and alternator and she starts like a dream even after sitting for weeks on end.the rear end is original AMC 20 and a new Dana 30 has been installed in the front end. The 4X4 works awesomeThis is a 3 speed with a perfect H pattern and a Hurst shifterJust installed a M.O.R.E off road steering gear box bracket because I noticed a small crack in the original oneKC Fog Lights up front with case guardsDiamond plating in numerous areasTHERE IS NO RADIO IN THE VEHICLE, I have always used a Dewalt job site radio that fits perfectly between the two front seat and was easy to pull out and place around camp site or where ever we were. Everything that has been replaced on this vehicle has been done with the best parts available Parts I have but have not installed Original remanufactured Jeep dash directional turn switch that goes in steering column (current one works but does not turn off after starring wheel returns, you have to manually click it back down or up) WHAT DOES IT NEED A New owner....My wife is giving birth to our 4th child and I just don't have the time to play with this anymore and its too big for 3 of my 4 kids, so I am going to let my baby go
