Vehicle Detail
· I am a first time Ebay seller and I'm selling my late father's best and favorite car. He and my mom enjoyed many trips including a 250 mile journey to Baker, Oregon in this car - all without drama as I never heard of any breakdown troubles. Recently, a local Model A buddy, has taken the car for a few test drives and declared it working fine. This car will drive onto the trailer or you can drive it home (might take awhile) once you put some bulbs in the headlights. Here are some details: A 50 hp “B” engine (“highly sought after” according to Model A expert, Bill Barlow,"because it is faster than the original “C” engine which is only 40 hp") · Windshield wiper, heat, brakes, turn signals all in good working condition, front light bulbs missing, but thought to work · Straight frame · New battery installed in June 2015 · 12 volt electrical system October 2008 – rear end overhauled and Borg-Warner overdrive installed; system was flushed, valves set, ignition and carburetor worked on. Cloth interior and vinyl rumble seat in excellent condition · 2012 - Paint and restoration: the body and interior was completely disassembled for painting. There was very minimal rust, which was repaired. A minimal amount of bondo was used on the surface – no more than 1/8” in only a few places. Body was in excellent condition. A single stage poly-urathane paint – PPG Deltron was applied, which is a top of the line paint. It was painted an original Model A color for this year of car: Andalucite Blue with black fenders. Also, a new vinyl top was installed on the top and new weatherstripping throughout. Wood luggage rack included but not installed. Brackets on car ready to receive luggage rack. My father bought the car from Bill Barlow. Bill owned the car for around 8 years and kept it garaged. He bought the car from a guy in Bend, OR that owned the local Napa Auto Store, where it was stored in the back of his garage and not driven for many, many years. After 8 years, Bill Barlow sold it to a guy in Prineville, OR with the condition that if he ever sold it Bill would like the first right to purchase it. The guy ended up moving to Montana and so Bill bought the car back. Then, my dad bought the car from Bill in 2007, so I know its dry eastern Oregon history for at least 20 years. It has been garaged ever since my father has owned it. ALL SALES ARE FINAL WITH CAR BEING SOLD WHERE IS, AS IS! You, or your representative, have the opportunity to inspect the car before bidding. As a used vehicle you should assume it has wear. It has been described to the best of my ability. There is no oral, or written warranty for this vehicle. PAYMENT: A $ 1,000 down payment, via PayPal, must be made at the conclusion of the auction. The balance is due within 5 working days, and must be made by Cashier’s Check, Money Orders or Bank Wire. When full payment has been received, I will send to the purchaser the Title, along with a Bill of Sale to sign, a copy to be returned to me. TRANSPORTATION: Buyer is solely responsible for arranging pickup and transportation of the vehicle. I will assist at the time of pickup.
