Vehicle Detail
This is a Very clean, never been completely stripped to bare shell, "recreation project car" it was originally a XH29 383 2bbl bucket front seats, baseline charger, but I have completely gone thru this car to change it over to be a beautiful "award winning" XS29 440 six pack R/T SE front high back bucket seat Gator grain vinyl top "tribute car" I did put a repaint on it back in Aug of 2001 but it's still looking real nice as you can see by the most recent pictures attached in this add. So from that...where do I start. The Engine perhaps, well. On Sept 1st 2002 the engine build was completed. Mileage then was showing 73,042 on the odometer. This motor I did was fully built up from the block as a street/strip spec motor (based off a Aug/1990 popular hot rod magazine article on specification for a Dick Landy Legendary 440 wedge street/strip build project) At that same time, it got a fresh 727 automatic transmission with shift kit put into it and the very rare power steering cooler option was added (code ?). A couple years after that the front brakes were upgraded from drums to disks, and a correct 440 six pack brake booster was restored and installed and a fresh rebuild on the rear drums were done, the 4bbl was pulled and replaced by the mighty 440 six pack intake system, dash was pulled from the car and restored with a brand new tic toc tach and the original am radio was rebuilt and a separate line was added to it where you can actually plug your cell phone into to the original AM radio system to run music off of it. Mopar Redcap battery and date coded alternator and date coded coil and date coded heater hoses and dated coded radiator hose and date coded voltage regulator was added as well. I have performance wires on it now but buy it now customers will get an extra set of used date coded ignition wires as well. In the glove compartment there is an after market radio that you can run instead for CD's. In March of 2005, The old black vinyl roof was removed and the entire top was gone over with a fine tooth comb new metal where needed was done and a new (very rare optioned V1G) gator grain top was added to the Car as part of the tribute project. This top was a one year only option on the mopars (1970 only) and is very VERY cool. A new driveline was just put in a couple years ago (from drivelines northwest) and the stock 2.76:1 rear end was pulled and replaced with a fresh 3.23:1 sure grip setup, new shocks all around added them too. All wiring has been replaced throughout the entire car inside and out and a new fuel tank and fuel lines were put in as well. That was done by me just last year. Interior is in very fine shape (No rips or tears). Legendary interior SE door panels we also added as part of the recreation project. As of today, The odometer now reads 90,000 on it. This car doesn't even need to be seen in person to appreciate. It's just plain beautiful. If you just want a finished beautiful looking car to head to your local cruise in or local car shows and enjoy the ride there and back doing it...then this is definitely the car for you!!! Serious buyers only and full payment must be deposited and verified and completely accounted for before car can can be signed over and released. Buyer responsible for all shipping and transport costs ok. This is not really negotiable as I am just way to busy at work to deal with this part ok. also, a special bonus for any "Buy it now" customers; If you take my buy it now option to purchase the car you get your choice to take any of the spare charger parts I have in my garage. This lot includes a spare freshly rebuilt 727 automatic transmission, stock 440 valve covers freshly painted orange, stock 440 set of heads, old mirrors, old 70 charger front bumper, 440 4bbl stock cast iron intake manifold, lots of old spare old wire harnesses from thru-out the car, and many MANY more extra spare parts and stuff. Here's a video of startup and running for you all- http://youtu.be/ub9nau0Vhhc And here some more you tube videos for you to enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsqyFMOxSA4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4DMDwClK6Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al7AdAE8ZPY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpzU0MzwK9E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hR-rmjxZPAM keep in mind that this is a 13 year old paint job and as nice as it is in the pictures, it is showing some signs of age. blistering issues around the lower left rear 1/4 panel (ONLY): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H50c71nb5yA Could probably be sanded down and a local touch up repairs if you ask me. that's what I did on the few spots I checked this out on.
