Up for bid is a very original 1969 Honda ST70 import model. This is the cousin to the more well known CT70 or Trail 70. This model is somewhat rare here in the US. This was imported by a service man and spend most of its life in dry storage in Texas. It also spent some time in Indiana. This is a very nice 1440Km bike (985 miles) that I picked up as a project. I went through the bike and it is now running & driving very well. It starts first or second kick and runs great after a brief warm up. This model is unique in that it has a completely removable front end for transporting in a vehicle. It also has factory turn signals which did not show up on the CT70 until 1974. The following items have been replaced as new: battery, headlight assembly (aftermarket), fuel lines & air filter element. The fuel system and carb were also cleaned. The bike starts easily & runs very well. It shifts fine through all 3 gears. It is ready to ride. This will be a great bike to ride as is or restore it at a later date. The frame paint is original and in good shape. There are some blemishes as expected for a 46 year old bike. The original tires are in very good shape. Items that still need attention include: Seat cover has a tear at the rear Wiring has been repaired in the past and some of the lights are no working properly. The electrical system may need trouble shooting or repair. Needs new headlight switch. This was removed at some time. Headlight is inoperable. Speedometer is not properly secured to the headlight bucket and the speedo lens is cracked. Exhaust pipe is cracked at the typical location and has been repaired with a stainless wrap & clamps.
