This car is a 144 volt electric vehicle. I converted this car in 2007 using a kit from Electric Vehicles of America, and have driven over 40,000 miles with no problems. It is a great commuter car with the driving range at 40-50 miles. I installed the 220 v charger in the car so it can be recharged at anytime.The 12 batteries take aprx.4-5 hours to fully recharge.The car runs out fine with no problems but batteries that are installed in it now are due to be replaced for a maximum performance. The Electric Vehicle Manual, which shows in detail steps to building electric car, will be included with this sale.This car has a manual 5sp.transmission but it is a direct drive so you don't shift gears.I normally use 2nd or 3rd gear with a top speed of 60 to 70mph (you can go faster but that depletes your battery pack quicker).
