This is a very cool, rare Suburban Carryall with the desirable clam shell, picnic style tailgate. The body is really straight and solid. The linoleum flooring is intact and in great condition. The wood floor under the linoleum is intact and in very good shape. The hinges on the top lift door need some work, they still work but the steel around the hinge is cracking/cracked. A couple of areas around the rear corners appear to have some filler from dents (can be seen in pictures). The only area that shows any type of rust was a small area under the heater on the passenger floor which was repaired and primed. The suburban starts, runs and stops well. The brakes have not been inspected but they work extremely well and do not pull in either direction when stopping hard. The turning radius is tight, better than any new vehicle that I own. The tires are very old and weather checked but they do hold air. I have driven this several times but only a couple of miles at a time so I cannot speak for the reliability on a longer trip. I rebuilt the carb, replaced the battery, voltage regulator, flushed the fuel lines, changed the fluids, plugs and cleaned the gas tank and it started right up and I drove it off my property. I do have a video of me driving it forward and backwards. All of the gages work, all of the lights work including the single rear brake light. When lowering the rear tailgate brake light is hinged and it rotates to stay parallel to the ground so that the light can be seen when gate is down. This has the folding 1/4 seat for the passenger side which folds forward to allow passengers to slide past to get into the back.
