This is probably the most beautiful, sexy looking car I will ever drive. And you could be driving it next! The car needs some TLC: the engine is starting to burn some oil; the anti-lock brakes g-sensor is out; sometimes, when unlocking the car from the passenger door or remote, it immediately re-locks; occasionally, the quarter windows require a couple of attempts to close. The car has a brand new transmission, installed at the beginning of this year. I participated in a group buy to procure the last available transmissions for this vehicle from Mitsubishi in Japan, as there were none available in the US. Ground Zero Performance converted the transmission from Japanese spec to US spec, and Competition Autowerks installed it. The bell housing was damaged in shipping, so we reused the old bell housing. This ended up costing over $4800, but to have a new transmission is a pleasure. I figure this offsets the upcoming engine work required. Over its 20 years: The car was in a fender bender (someone ran a stop sign), requiring replacement of the right front fender. The rear bumper was scraped while parked in a parking lot and required repainting. Someone backed into the front bumper when parallel parking, requiring that it be repainted. The car has always been garaged. I detail it, or have it detailed, every year. The exterior and interior are in remarkable condition for a 20-year old car with this mileage. Some clear coat on the right headlight is beginning to peel. The paint on the rear bumper around the license plate frame has blistered and cracked at two corners. There are expected minor rock chips in the hood paint, which I've mostly dabbed with touch up paint. Please check the photos for these and the overall excellent condition of the appearance. I bought this car off a Mitsubishi district sales manager who'd had it for a year and put 3000 miles on it. All the rest have been my driving pleasure. The car is completely stock with the exception that the rear view mirror is a Donnelly auto-dimming mirror with map lights, compass and temperature (latter not yet hooked up). The auto-dimming fluid had evaporated out of the OEM mirror, which was common with those mirrors. Plus I added a polished Spyder VR-4 spark plug cover to use up an expiring credit with 3SX Performance :). I'm including the JNS Engineering Top Link Converter, which communicates with the car's convertible hard top computer for diagnostics and configuration. I bought the optional Evoscan USB-ISO9141 Converter, which allows communication with the car's main computer for diagnostics and configuration. I'll also throw in the JNS Engineering WIFI Top Controller, which I never had a chance to install. It works with a Viper car security system to allow remote control of the convertible top as you approach or leave the Batmobile :). TERMS This vehicle is sold "AS IS". (3) The balance of the selling price is required within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance by bank wire transfer, certified check, or bank certified funds. If the sale is not completed within this time, Seller reserves the right to re-list this vehicle, sell it to any other buyer, or take it off the market, in any of which case the non-refundable deposit will be forfeit. (4) Upon completion of the final payment, Seller will file with the California DMV a "Transfer of Title", "Bill of Sale", and "Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability (NRL)". In California, the buyer is responsible for transfer fees, use taxes, and any other governmental fees. (5) The vehicle will be made available at Seller's residence in Mountain View, California for pickup by Buyer or Buyer-arranged transport at a time mutually convenient to Seller and Buyer. Buyer must take possession of the vehicle within 10 days of final payment, either in person or through a shipping carrier arranged by Buyer.
