Vehicle Detail
Great body at virtually no engine miles. Very clean.Rebuilt Engine: 3,846 miles. Body: 205,177 miles. Rebuilt transmission: about 10,000 miles. Title is free and clear. The following has been done (all work is documented and available upon request):-Rebuilt engine installed February 2015. Under warranty until February 2016. Pictures show invoice for rebuilt engine which includes proof of warranty (my personal information is blocked out), and the date and mileage as it corresponds to the installation of rebuilt engine. Engine starts immediately every time and runs very strong. Yes, it's true that these tanks are usually just getting started at 240k, but there's always room for exceptions... I was driving one day and it just didn't feel right. I took it in and here's what was noted by my very trusted classic foreign car mechanic: "Found that the crankshaft vibration dampner bolts have sheered off in the crankshaft flange holding the crankshaft pulley on. Only found two bolts left out of six. The holes that the bolts thread into are damaged and wollowed out. There is a possibility that some of them may have gone into the engine as well through the front seal. If the bolts and dampner were replaced there is a very strong chance it will fail again due to the bolt holes being damaged. I think that the safest correct way would be to replace the motor. If the holes were drilled and re-tapped they will never be as strong as they were made from the factory and can also result in the same issue." Because this was my daily driver and I have a toddler to keep safe, I decided to get the engine replaced. His diagnosis was correct. Being completely forthright, the hit from this choice was more than expected in my budget for owning a classic in process as a daily driver, and unfortunately I must move on. It truly was a bummer to be faced with a one in a million engine fail in this type of vehicle. However, my misfortune is the next owners gift. The engine is clean, solid, safe, completely rebuilt and warrantied. Brakes in great condition; recently replaced and have about 80% life left on them. New Ball Joints. Non-factory radio with USB as well as FOUR new Boston A speakers installed. Complete VAC system over-haul; converted to R134 – needs a recharge. New windshield and gasket (However, it still needs a right rear door rubber seal). New tires 5/14. Complete Tune Up 5/15. New tailgate Shocks. New Right Front & Right Rear Door Stops. New Aux Water Pump. New Climate Control Unit. New Control Arms. Trailer Hitch. Rebuilt Wiper Assembly. New Ignition Tumbler and Keys. The previous owner rebuilt the transmission in fall of 2013. I replaced the dipstick tube, and the trans pan 5/15, but it doesn’t sit quite flush against the trans body and therefor seeps if and only if transmission fluid levels are high. Has a “robust” shift that is common in these vehicles, but shifts strong and true every time.Needs the following: Cruise control amplifier. Radio antennae does not go up and down smoothly. Needs front suspension gear box. Vacuum locks recently stopped working, but the car still locks manually. Wheel alignment. Some minor cracking in the woodwork around the radio (see pics). Headlight doors have some cracking (see pics). Right rear door needs rubber seal. RPM gauge doesn't work. Some wear on driver’s seat (see pics). There are two tiny rust spots low on driver's side (see pics). There are some minor scratches on the driver's door (see pics). The air filter housing top has some rusting due to my dripping transmission fluid on it and not wiping it off. Lesson learned! The interior needs very little; it’s very nice. Carpet is all original loop carpet and has the typical fading in the rear (no third seat by the way) and some minor spotting as to be expected for its age (see pic), but very clean and well kept. Header is in perfect condition. Vehicle comes with a high quality protective cover. It's tuned, waxed, and leather seats conditioned. Ready to drive! This car has been given a lot of love and care. An absolute pleasure to drive. Put 15k in. Engine alone is worth $6,000. Price reduced from $13,900. Priced to sell... hate to see it go. Sold As Is. Please feel free to ask any questions or to request more photos. Enjoy!$500 deposit required 24 hours of auction end with the balance due in 7 days. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
