Vehicle Detail

I have owned this van for almost 4 years, and have never had a problem with it, it runs great, the engine is strong, everything appears to function perfectly, brakes transmission/shifting, exhaust, etc. It always starts right up and runs perfectly even after sitting for a couple months. It is a base model, AM/FM radio, 4 wheel disk brakes, driver and passenger airbag, no electric windows or door locks. There are about 8 little dents and dings on the outside of the van (see pictures) all of these happened prior to me buying the van. The suspension rides like new, I don't think it's transported many heavy loads. This van has an accident on it's history, I don't know anything about that, I haven't seen any damaged areas on the van except for the dents. This van goes down the road very straight. I hope there is no confusion about the photos, the van comes with 2 seats, it also comes with the center cup holder, which is not pictured and can easily be bolted back in, it just got in the way for me. More photos and video available....... contact me and I will email you a link. Paint problem:Bidders on this vehicle need to be aware that it has some kind of paint problem, I'm not sure what is causing it or if it will continue and get worse. See youtube videos for other people with this problem. I called the GMC dealer here in Reno 2 weeks ago about this, they said the van is NOT covered under any kind of warranty.I first noticed this in February of 2014, when I went to wash the van at the local car wash, and I noticed some paint was coming off when hit with the power washer. I don't know if the problem has stabilized or is getting worse , so please consider this when you bid. The flaking paint has not showed up anywhere the sun doesn't shine. The insulation: I had this van sprayed with insulation in September of 2011 right after I bought it, at a commercial insulation place in Petaluma, CA. It should be said that the insulation job is not perfect and does not cover all areas of the doors perfectly. The whole floor and ceiling have been done right up to the front of the van, the front 2 doors are not insulated. The thickness of the insulation is as follows: floor about 1", ceiling about 1.5"+, walls 2"+ … the rails at the top of the wall are not insulated and were left open for wiring etc. and could easily be filled with insulation, and the doors aren't perfectly covered. The insulation in the floor of the van is pretty strong, you can walk on it. I don't know how much weight it would take to start crushing the insulation down if you started loading and unloading heavy objects. The floor and walls could also get beat up and dented by heavy objects pretty easily, you may want to install side panels to keep the insulation in good shape. You may also want to put an extra pad down for the floor. The reason I insulated the van was I was going to turn it into a little camper van that I could travel in and use in winter or cold weather. I'm not sure what the buyer of this van will use the insulation for but just having the insulation does makes the temperature very nice inside the van, if you turn on the AC the van gets cool pretty quickly and stays cool, the same goes for heat. I also doesn't get real hot in there even when sitting in the blazing sun if the window shades are used. I'm selling this van because I don't use it very much, and decided not to finish my project of turning it into a camper van. The van had 119640 miles on it when I bought it.... it now has 124740, so I have put 5100 miles on it, in the 4 years that I've owned it, most of those were in the first year. I may be available to deliver this van, and could deliver just about anywhere in the US or Canada. I think maybe .20 cents a mile is reasonable and you pay for gas used enroute to you, and airfare or back to Reno. I would not hesitate to drive this van across the country. Please contact me if you are interested in me delivering the van and we can talk about the details. Also contact me if you have more questions and want to talk on the phone. Spare battery shelf under van:There is a extra battery shelf bolted to the frame (see picture), batteries not included....ha, the switch to turns this on or off is located on the back of the driver seat, there is also a little fuse box and extra cigarette lighter plug there as well that connect to the extra batteries, the extra battery area is connected straight to the alternator and the switch turns the connection on and off, that means that if switch is on you can charge the batteries and als run the power down on the main battery as well, turn it off and it only drains the spare batteries and they also don't get charged until it is turned back on. The drivers seat has been raised up 2" , these risers can easily be removed in 10 minutes. There is a little storage shelf under the seat for a notebook computer or ipad.
