Vehicle Detail

1969 numbers-matching 427 tri-power 400 horsepower Corvette. Less than 15000 original miles. An American Icon --3.08 posi traction--factory A/C--AM/FM Stereo--Factory Side-mount Exhaust--Power Steering and Brakes--Power Windows--T-Tops--Factory wide ratio 4-speed manual transmission--NCRS 10/16/2010 judging sheets which I will include, show a score of 88.8, and Second Flight Award I bought this car as an investment and it has been kept clean and dry in my garage with occasional trips to the grocery store or to work. It came to me Keras Cevrolet, a corvette dealer in Memphis where it was on proud display in thire show room for a couple of years. They got it from a restorer in St Louis, but I don't know who it was. I have documents that show that the car was originally sold in Canada. No flaws in the body, frame, engine, drive train, or interior that I am aware of. Everything works except the radio, and I believe that had been disconnected in favor of adding a small audio input for an iPod, which does work. I have owned this car a little over two years and it has required no work whatsoever beyond oil change and keeping the battery on a trickle charger. I had originally intended to take it to some shows, but never got around to it due to a brutal work schedule. I am moving on to other investments and this beauty must pass to another lucky owner. Wherever I go, it always impresses, so if you drive it please be prepared to answer a lot of questions. Factory T-tops from this era almost always leak. I don't know if these do or not, as I have never driven it or parked it in the rain. However, whenever I wash it, there isn't any obvious water inside. Very nice radials are provided. I may be able to locate older bias ply tires if a buyer is interested in taking this back to bone-stock equipment for restoration purposes. This is a no-reserve auction, so happy bidding, and thanks for looking at my listing. On Aug-03-15 at 17:45:48 PDT, seller added the following information: 1969 numbers-matching 427 tri-power 400 horsepower Corvette. I bought this car as an investment and it has been kept clean and dry in my garage with occasional trips to the grocery store or to work. I purchased it from Keras Chevrolet in Memphis, where it had belonged to one of the dealership's owners. They kept it in the showroom with the other Corvettes. I have documents that show that the car was originally sold in Canada, and at some point made its way to Arizona, and then to Tennessee. There are no flaws in the body, frame, engine, or transmission that I am aware of or have found. The radio does not work, but the clock and all the lights work. Someone installed a little stereo input for an iPod, which does play through the radio speakers. The A/C works but may need some freon. I will check it and top it off if that is the case. Sometimes the hide-away lights stick. That's usually not an issue for me as I don't drive it at night.T-tops from this era are notoriously leaky, but I can not confirm that for these. I have never driven it in the rain. I have owned the car a little over two years and I keep it in a garage attached to my house on a battery tender, and drive it about once a month. It has required no work or repair of any kind. I had originally intended to show it, but never got around to it due to work. I am moving on to other investments now, so some other lucky person will own a fine example of American muscle car history. The tires are nice nearly-new radials, whereas it originally shipped with bias ply tires. This is a no reserve auction, so bid to win. Good luck and thanks so much for looking at my auction Contact number is 731-803-4677. I will be in and out this week, so if you don't get me, leave a message and I will return your call.
