For Sale is my 1977 2 door wagon, Pontiac Astre Safari model. milage on dash and Title states as original. Currently 93,734 Hard to find 2 door wagons and very hard to find American made compact wagons. Title is clean ,clear and in my name. Rust free body. Has been re-painted paint job is good (not show but pretty nice job) car is all original with original tran, and engine. She is in running condition shifts smooth, and suspension and brakes are good. I drive her local from time to time. Was going to drop v8 in her like is commonly done to its brother the Vega. But wife hates it so it sits in its original condition. who knows how long this clanky old 4cyl engine will last, for sure could use upgrade for more power. So don't think you are buying a daily driver here, will need some updating to give it horsepower. Interior is pretty good, clean, no crackes or fade on dash, only the driver seat has tear (but its not blown out, still comfratable). headliner carpet ect nice. previous owner re- sprayed the front to door cards and shifter plastic, looks fair at best. Glass is all good, wipers work as should, heater works, not really to much this old girl, pretty bare bones. chrome all in good condition (minus on wheel fender trim piece (vega or sunbird on should be direct fit, so not hard to find) Would make nice surf ride lots of room in back, rear seats fold down to make more room. PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU CAN FOLLOW THRU WITH PAYMENT, TRANSPERTATION OF WAGON IS UP TO YOU AFTER PURCHASE. thanks RobertOn Aug-05-15 at 10:57:28 PDT, seller added the following information: to answer a couple questions, heater, heater fan, wipers (two speed) interior and exterior lights, speedo. mirror adjustments all work as they should. as well as the windows the cig. lighter does not work. solid little wagon, again the worst part is the almost 40yr old underpowered original 4cyl. starts right up and drives but really needs some horsepower. nice new michilan tires, auto door locks with alarm. will also come with new poly bushings for suspension upgrade (the current rubber bushings ect on suspension looks good as it sits) I am not a mechanic but do my best to describe car best that I can. she is all there, runs and drives, solid, but slow and I am sure could use some updating.
