Up for sale is a 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2 SE 7. Seven passenger. It has the 4.0 all aluminum V8. It started losing antifreeze, but never overheated. So the heads were removed, pressure checked, and machined. Block was studded with ARP hardened studs to replace the factory stretch bolts...because they stretch and leak. Fel-pro problem solver head gasket kit was installed. Since it has a cooling issue, and no evidence of what caused it..we replaced all cooling parts...radiator, thermostat, belt, waterpump and the secondary electric cooling fan. While we was elbows deep, we replaced spark plugs, plug wires, and all new ignition coils.The exterior of this unit is in very good condition with no dents and no rust...with exception of a failed attempt to repair a crack in front bumper(see photo). Not overly noticeable, but it's there. It has 4 new BfGoodrich tires with approximately 6000 miles on them; and the spare is also like new. The air ride was converted to new hydraulic shocks. The interior is leather, heated seats, electric Windows, cruise control, tilt wheel, dual sunroofs, and the typical side skylights. Two jump seats in back rarely ever used(like new). Interior is very clean and is in great condition. Except a slight sag in headliner, not hanging low...for the sunroof trim holds it up pretty tight. Also the leather boot around the emergency brake shows wear. For the age...this is in very good condition, very clean. We have drove it approximately 5000 miles since engine work was done. The air condition will freeze you out. It runs and drives as it should. We are starting this out low and our buy it now for below book value.
