Vehicle Detail
That's right.Another fantastic NO RESERVE AUCTIONbrought to you byAutowerks of Northbrook.Well here it is. The quintessential BMW. Arguably the best BMW ever built.I purchased this car several years ago with the intention of restoring it. I started working on it but since my customers cars came first it got pushed to the back burner. Some of you E30 nuts will probably remember it from 2011 in which German Cars for Sale wrote a blog about it... http://germancarsforsaleblog.com/no-reserve-1988-bmw-m3-found-in-a-garage/I don't really recall what happened back in 2011 and why I still own the car but I do and its time to find someone to finish my project and enjoy this car for what it is. I have owned several over the years....http://bringatrailer.com/2013/08/08/69k-mile-1988-bmw-e30-m3/Since the original article about it in 2011 I have replaced the windshield cowl and purchased a OEM windshield from BMW. Repaired the radiator support that was buggered many moons ago and within the last five months have treated it to a complete paint job performed by my previous head painter that is one of the best in the industry. This car ran fantastically before I tore into it and should fire right up with a new battery. It will need the following. Reassembly of course. A new front bumper and I believe passenger mirror. I will paint those for $300 for the winning bidder if they so choose. It will also need new tires as for these are from 1998 or so. I have all the windows, all the interior and 99% of the hardware. I will consider reassembling this car for the winning bidder myself after boating season for a small fee. I can also store this car for free in my warehouse for a period of up to six(6) months. I would finish the car myself but I sold my business last year and spend most of my days on a boat, Corona in hand. I still have a few project cars that will be hitting the market eventually if I don't get around to them including a wild twin plug fuel injected 68 Porsche 911 with COA, the nicest paint job you will ever see and $75,000 in parts receipts, a very cool 65 Lincoln Continental with an incredible paint scheme, interior and stereo and a few other random Porsche 911'sMany of my cars sell prior to auction end. I am open to reasonable offers. I will be travelling for the next week or so. Don't call my old shop, I am no longer there.
