Vehicle Detail
A tractor trailer minus the trailer blew a stop sign and pulled out in front of me around a blind corner while I was distracted. Had little time to react. The damage was focused to the center, so the steering and front suspension is actually still good. (The right upper control arm is probably a bit bent though)Nearly new tires on M-parallels. Rims have minor curb rash but are in decent shape. No spare.4 good doors, rust-free, I had to swap the rear bumper after cracking the one on my other daily driver black 7. Nothing else has been cannibalized. The sand beige interior has expected wear but is clean and not too bad. Comfort seats, widescreen Nav, sport steering wheel (aibag deployed).Cluster had perfect pixels, AC worked, Navigation worked (widescreen). Had no emissions problems, so good cats. Trans had no issues.Aside from the cracked timing case and right valve cover, engine may be ok. It took the brunt of the impact though... I would rebuild it completely. My landlord's patience has run out so this has to go. Trying to just recoup what I paid for towing and storage while I was in the hospital with my broken leg.Feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking. On Jul-24-15 at 07:30:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I can't see the questions and answers for this listing on my iPhone so I'm adding them to the description: Q: Can you send me some interior pics.,and is the frame bent?Thanks.Jul-24-15A: Hi. I've added some pics. This car doesn't have a frame per se, but the damage is to the front of the car. After finally really looking inside after the accident (it's been covered) I can see the impact was even worse than I thought. The engine pushed the firewall into the cabin. The HVAC control box popped out some and doesn't have room to be pushed back in. The glove box doesn't have room to close. The sunroof shifted forward and the plastic handle part that you slide is cracked and jammed closed. Please don't bid on this with hopes of fixing it. This car is only good for parts. (That HVAC module I mentioned has perfect pixels and sells on eBay for hundreds all by itself) I reached the 100 character limit, someone ask me about the pics so I can explain more. Q: I'm the current high bidder on your auction. Do you have interior pictures and overall pictures of what is left of the car?Jul-21-15A: Hi, thanks for bidding. I don't currently, but I'll take some pictures hopefully tomorrow. The only reason I've put off taking more pictures is that the car has been covered since the accident. By the way, forgot to mention there are almost brand new Bilstein sport shocks with Eibach springs in the rear. Also both rear wheel carriers have new ball joints and tight control arms. Do you have interior pictures and overall pictures of what is left of the car? Further explanation of pictures: If you check the Carfax, you'll see I had some bad luck with this car before this last accident. Driving home from KFC, someone flew through a stop sign and T-boned me on my side. (I think the Carfax says passenger side... this is incorrect.) I was spun around 180 degrees and the side airbag deployed. Probably should have been totaled but I had it fixed. The airbag was replaced but not the leather cover part. The shop used some plastic filler at the bottom part which cracked when I jacked up the car. This area is supposed to be covered with a plastic piece. I have this piece and never got around to putting it back on. The right side does not have this issue, it has the proper painted molding attached. Before this, I was pulling into a McDonald's and some guy who was parked close to the entrance from the highway quickly backed up without looking. He backed into my right rear wheel area and damaged the lip part of the quarter panel some. Anyway, none of this should affect selling any of the good parts on this car. I'll say this again, this car is for parts only, please don't bid with hopes of fixing this car. Also, the car has been covered and all the sheet metal is as nice as in the original pics. There is just dust everywhere that will easily wipe off. Oh and the rear bumper for all practical purposes is missing. The cracked one I swapped it for is missing a big section on the left side. Thanks.
