1958 chev. bel-air 2dr. ht-I thought this would be the last car I would be able to piddle with. I found out that at my age - I cannot take the heat - do not need to drive a car without ps-pb- or a/c. This car does not have any of these fine features. My lost your gain. This was started as father son project- something went south and the car sat for a while. When I got the car this is what had been done. New paint-not perfect but nice-complete new int. all the way around. Tires are nice with little wear. New gas tank- not hooked up.rear brake spring kits with new wheel cyls. and new ss brake lines from rear end fitting to wheel cyls. New air shocks-- all grease fittings greased- new carrier bearing- drive shaft greased-all glass is good- windows go up and down-do need weather stripping for doors and windows. trim is desent-has a couple of screw holes in front. bel air name on pass. side has missing letter-chrome on bumpers has faded some in places- dash looks good- new paint- has triple gauges-horn works- heater blower works- hoses on heater core crossed over- made be bad heater core-engine compartment detailed about 80 per cent- new chrome kit-new electronic dist- new coil- new plugs,wires-new transmission cooler New carb--new rotating water neck tranmission if a 2 speed powerguild- with new mod. shifts good- also down shifts good. engine runs strong. good brakes- steering has a small amount of play but steers good down the road. wipers vac. not working- I was going to put the 12v on anyway.- new fuel pump- yes this car still needs those few things to bring it on back.- could use front shocks. remenber this car is 58 years old but still looks descent to drive has I have been doing while working on it. Has have changed to 15 inch- alum.rims tires are 235/60 trunk looks good and has spare- orginal radio works of fm all lights work- brake-turn sigals headlights- interior needs to be wired back.
