Vehicle Detail

Show quality, bone stock, all original, Low miles, RARE triple black 5 speed 5.0 convertible fox body Mustang. The last of the best! This car has had 3 adult owners, for some reason the history report says 5 owners. That is NOT correct! there has only been 3 owners! The original owner has houses in OR, CA and PA. he would register his collection between the 3 states based on best rates at the time of renewals for tax purposes. The collection was located in OR and had over 50 cars in it. The second owner lived outside of Houston in Katy TX and would store and register the car between Katy,TX and his son's facility in Cypress,TX. I am the 3rd owner and live outside of Buffalo,NY. I have all paperwork, service receipts, manuals and documents that come with the car. The original and previous owner are in their late 60's. I am the youngest owner at 40. This is the 3rd fox that I have owned. 1st was an 88 fox gt convert in high school and my 2nd was a 93 gt fox convertible that I purchased in 1996 with 1300 miles on it, which I sold with 55k miles on it the week before buying this one when it became available. I know these cars inside and out and this car is a true show quality fox! This car has never seen snow and barely seen rain! No rust, No major blems. The underside and engine bay are clean and shiny. All owners stored the car in climate controlled facilities since new. All owners followed the same passed down storage and maint plan. STORAGE- Treat the fuel with 1 bottle of Chevron with Techtron, Fill the tank full, "IMPORTANT This car has ONLY had 93 octane gas run thru it since new!" change oil and filter, rotate tires, detail the car, set battery tender, set the garage temp to 55 degrees, cover car, start car and run for 20 mins and cycle gears once a week during storage. The car has been well taken care of all its life and spent most of its time in a 68yr old mans west coast, high end classic car collection. The vehicle was purchased with 4,000 miles on it from the original collection in 05 by a 65yr old retired Ford mechanic from Texas who was familiar with the family collection and car. He purchased the car to add to his collection, mainly for his wife and him to enjoy on weekend cruises along with their original 65 Mustang convertible. When operating a clutch became too hard for him to enjoy, his son called me and asked if I would be interested in buying it if he could persuade his father to sell. It took some serious prying, but he finally decided to sell the car to me. I purchased the car in 2011 with 29,500 miles on it. I flew out to Houston,TX, picked up the car and drove the car back to Buffalo,NY. I drove the car the long way home, stopping to see old military friends along the coast. Great trip! Perfect car for those type of trips! That is what the Mustang GT was built for! Grand Touring. Get it on the open road, drop the top and Cruise! I put over 2000 miles on the car during that trip and have put less than 1000 miles a yr on the car since purchase taking the wife and kids on weekend rides and trips to car shows during summer months. This car can be used as a daily driver or classic show car. It is NOT a storage trailer queen. Enjoy it and drive it to and from the shows. NO burnouts NO racing have been done in this car! If you want to race, buy a cheap beater to race, not this car! Hopefully the new owner understands its history and quality and it goes to a good home. I purchased the car in the hopes of showing the car at local shows and passing it on to my 10yr old son when the time was right. I recently got laid off from work and I guess the roof over our heads is more important than passing down a tradition or classic car. really sux! I dont want to part with her, but hopefully there will be another dwn the road at a better time. The car needs very little TLC which I planned on doing this season, but have to pay the bills. 1) Throwout bearing needs to be replaced soon. My Ford mechanic friend said it is common on these cars when they sit stored for long periods. he said its not a big fix, but he said the clutch should also be replaced at the same time while the transmission is out. The clutch works great, but it should be replaced at the same time as the bearing since your already working on the trans. he said it will cost $500 for parts and repair. 2) The outer window seal rubber is starting to dry out and crack in spots, easy fix, $200 for inner and outer seal kit at American muscle. 3) ash tray door spring replacement kit $20. 4) convertible top rear window glue needs to be re glued near the seam. also very common on these cars. It doesn't effect the top at all, no water, dust or wind gets into car because the rear windows are stitched into the inner part of the top on these cars. It is basically outer cosmetic. The overall top condition is good! works perfect, no cracks or tears. Overall car condition is great. She is all original stock except for some tasteful upgrades. I have all the original parts that i took off in boxes that will come with the car, so she can be put back to bone stock original for shows if you want. 1) Flowmaster mufflers. just the mufflers, the rest of pipes are all stock. they are not loud, basically still sounds stock until you get on the gas. they just give it a nice burble and help it breathe right! With the addition of the cold air intake, K&N filter and Flowmaster mufflers as well as removing the stock air silencer in fender, the car has approx 40 more horsepower than stock and gets better gas mileage. The upgraded plugs, wires and distributor is supposed to add approx another 15 hp. I never put it on a dyno, but she should be sitting at or just under 300hp with the upgrades mentioned. 2) I have added some bolt on chrome pieces under the hood, including a cold air intake kit with K&N filter. looks sharp and helps it breathe better! 3) smoked head and fog lights with upgraded bulbs. 4) shorty antenna 5) front end cover bra 6) tinted windows 7) Ford Racing plugs, wires, spacers and distributor. 8) K&N chrome oil breather cap. 9) 5.0 tire valve stem caps. The wheels are the stock OEM pony wheels that came with the car. I get complements all the time at shows on how clean and perfect they still are! NO nicks, chips, scuffs or fading on em. She has new Tires, brake pads, rotors, drums, shoes, plugs, wires and distributor all with less than 3000 miles on them. I had all this done when purchased to spruce her up a bit. The coolant system and oil was also flushed and treated. The oil always shows golden clear when checked and changed every year. The car really needs nothing except what is mentioned above. As you can see and tell, This car is the real deal and show quality. Anybody who knows these cars, knows their value and what they are getting. A true American Classic sports car. One of the LAST UNTOUCHED ORIGINAL STOCK Fox body Mustangs in the RARE triple black 5 speed convertible trim. Have you seen another out there on the road or for sale in this condition lately? Any questions feel free to ask. Serious bidders only. NO LOW BALL OFFERS will be responded to. The car is reasonably priced as is. Good Luck.
