Vehicle Detail
1996 Subaru SVX LSi AWD How rare are these cars ? This is a car that had a sticker price of about $35K when it was on the showroom. A true Super Car that not only competed with, but beat most of the competition of its time. ONLY 1111 1996 Subaru SVXs where made so obviously these yr and model rarely come up for sale and they are already a modern day classic collector car. IF you are in the market for a nice driver SVX look no further, this is the one to buy and enjoy driving it everyday or just take it out on the weekends. DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid. Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition that are still affordable to most buyers. Make sure you check out all the pics after the description below ! Even though this car has 160k + miles on it, the best part is that most all the stuff that wears out or brakes, has already been repaired and should go another 100k plus ! In the last 5 yrs and or 30k miles some things that have been fixed or replaced are: radiator, brakes, 1 brake line, Timing belt, water pump etc and much more. by 96 too, Subie had upgraded their automatic transmissions too making them better and stronger. 1996 Subaru SVX AWD LSi / chances are if you are already looking at the auction, you already know how amazing these cars are and how far ahead of their time they really where. This car has lived all its life in AZ and some in CA and because of the desert climate, the car has zero rust. Ive owned about 20 of these cars over the past 12 yrs and truely hate to sell this car because it is so nice. I wish I could keep them all. This cars been well taken care of by its previous owner. DRIVETRAIN: all original 3.3L Boxer engine matted to the 4spd auto OD AWD transmission. Hit the key and it starts and runs great. No weird noises, smoke or issues to report. Idles so quiet you dont even know its running. Maintenance has always been done on the motor when needed ie Tbelt, water pump, hoses, oil changes etc with the use of Synth oil too. 230HP on tap when you need it, the car is a dream to drive. 1 other thing I love about the 96-97 cars, they are OBD 2 which in my opinion is much easier to repair when it comes to diagnostics. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, the interior of this car is in amazing shape. A little wear on the dr side door panel is about all you can really evident. Radio in a nice update JVC Cd player too, but rest of the interior very nice. Even the dr side seat which usually gets the most wear, the leather is great and the foam under neath is firm. All the gadgets, sunroof etc all work great too. The cars been garaged most of its life and the dk window tint has helped keep it so nice. The rear back seat on this yr is a 50/50 split fold down too. EXTERIOR: Original paint is Mica Black and if you look at the pics below, it too looks to be in great shape. Its hard to see some of the flaws in even our large detailed pics, but it has been touched up on the dr side in several chips. The rear wing is fading and small panels below the rear 1/4 windows are showing some fading and almost flat looking now. Front lower part of the bumper is also flat looking and has a few scratches down low. For the most part most people are going to look at the car and LOVE the way it looks just AS IS !! but once you look at little closer youll see some of the paint issues as mentioned above. Its still in really nice condition that makes for a great daily driver. SUSPENSION: all factory the best I can tell with repairs done as Needed over the yrs. Bushings, brakes of course etc. 2 things I noticed this car could use from driving it lately are: clunk from the LF wheel on a speedbump, which is probably front struts or upper strut mount and theres a small clunk coming from the rear area you here sometimes when you put it in gear. This is a very common issue on all SVXs with over 125k miles on them. Its usually just one of the rear differential bushings which there are 2 of. They cost about $38 each from the local Subie dealer plus labor when you decide to change them. They dont need to be done today, but should be done in the next few months for a more finished vehicle. Tires are RIKEN and have about 40% tread left all around. Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. There you have it, probably The BEST represented SVXs on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. We are also Planet SVX online, so if you wanted any of our products on this car before having it shipped, or even want something fixed, we can give you a quote for parts and labor and do the job for you before you get it. That offer is obviously if there is a winner of the car and it meets reserve etc. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total rust bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as much feasibly possible via pics. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping. ARIZONA TITLE IN HAND Keep in mind, this is not a restored car !! CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. But keep in mind, the car cant ship until you get your title from us in hand. This car, you can see clearly what to expect with no surprises and our Feedback speaks for itself ! EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE !! Car will obviously ship as an INOP. IF you need a shipping quote, just email us with your city/state and Ill find out our best quote for you !! No problem helping it to the docks if you are shipping overseas . If you have to wait for the title to ship your car, it still needs to be paid for and shipped from our holding lot as mentioned in the ad. When we get the title for it, we will fedex it to you. If there is a winner, please email me when the auction ends and say Hi and we can take it from there. Bank Wires need to be prompt if you are out of the country because they always seem to take longer then expected. I bank with B of A which makes things easy for many out of state for payment. direct deposit or Cashier checks If you wire the funds we must add a $50 fee that our bank charges us. must clear before car can move. Its a sign of the times, sorry. IF RESERVES NOT MET, email us anyway maybe we can work out a deal after it ends. NO PAYPAL for $500 deposit only - rest direct bank deposit or wire Must be paid within 5 days of auction
