Vehicle Detail

1966 Chevy C/K20 Factory 4X4 One Owner California Survivor Truck---No Reserve! Submitted for your approval is true one owner 1966 Chevy K20 factory 4X4 truck with it's original drivetrain. Purchased this classic 3/4 ton unit at an estate from it's elderly 81 year old owner up here in the Eastern Sierra's quite recently. Unit was born in Fremont, California back in 1966 & has never left the state. FYI an ORIGINAL California K10/20 model truck with it's ORIGINAL V-8 small block drivetrain is a rare find indeed. Auction is set for 10 days for your due diligence. Body internal & external features include: Original AM radio & antenna. Uncut dash. Original Omaha orange GM code paint with some surface patina from age. Original 15" inch tires which all hold air with matching split rims. Original tool kit. Rock solid/rust free underneath doors, rockers, & cab corners & pretty much the entire truck surface pictured. Bed retains all it's original wood & steel hangers. No bondo/filler that I could find. I have left this 49 year old classic truck EXACTLY as I found here. I personally dusted unit with my air compressor. Cleaned surface with warm soapy water. Removed old interior carpet to show EXACT floorboard condition. Rubbed paint restoration fluid on the original exterior paint surface & installed a new saddle blanket bench seat cover & that's about it externally speaking. Mechanical features include: Original factory smooth running small block 283ci stroker. Original factory working (4) speed manual transmission with a serious compound low 1st gear. Clutch is equally strong with plenty of pressure. Brakes work good with NO leaks & plenty of pressure when brake pedal is pressed. Emergency brake cable needs to be installed. Original factory New Process 205 (2) speed transfer case & original manual locking hubs. Factory option high ratio 4:56 rear end. Fresh mechanical service was preformed on 07/01/2015 included the following: New NAPA spark plugs, NAPA points, NAPA condenser. Synthetic 30 WT oil change & NAPA oil filter. Radiator flush with fresh 50/50 antifreeze fluid. New NAPA radiator cap. New NAPA fuel pump. New NAPA fan belt. New NAPA water pump with current receipt pictured. Extras include the following with purchase: Original owner's manual & repair guide one of which is a new reprint. New timing chain. Custom made matching heavy duty steel stake sides for bed. Two beefy (2) 20 gallon saddle tanks. Three (3) additional matching 15" inch mud snow tires pictured. FYI: She presently runs, shifts, & stops pretty darn good for a 49 year old classic truck. I have NOT tested the New Process transfer case on it's 4X4 settings so please be aware of this. Yes, she's an absolute beast of a truck & will probably crawl up any significant grade with both it's original low gearing & optional high ratio rear end. Plan on going about 50-55 MPH at top speed. Please note: This OG truck shows some honest wear with typical dings & dents from it's 49 years of service. Very few surface rust issues which are limited to one quarter size hole in passenger floor pan & typical lower front drivers side fender which are both pictured clearly below. Doors & hood are perfectly aligned pictured & open & shut smoothly with NO additional effort. I assume this vintage truck will need plenty of additional TLC so be aware of these above stated facts before bidding. I'm sure I missed something or another so please ask ALL questions before you bid. NADA low blue book @ $10,920. Medium blue book @ $18,050. High blue book $35,055. 95% of these vintage K series trucks offered are beat up, hacked up, rusted out, or heavily restored/modified with high price points based on recent completed eBay auctions. BTW these (1) owner fully stock K20 4X4 trucks are rare as hen's teeth in it's current original/unmolested state of preservation. Obviously this particular K20 4X4 unit is both an excellent restoration candidate for a Chevy collector or even a classic daily driver on your ranch or farm. Please check out all my high resolution pictures below. Restored this unit would fetch a pretty penny indeed. Please note: Zero/low feedback bidders will need to contact me prior to bidding. Non refundable $500.00 USD paypal deposit is due within (24) Hours of your winning bid. Your full/completed payment is due within (7) days of winning bid. I can store unit for up to a month unless other arrangements are made. Feel free to call/text Mike @ 760 264-3988 for any questions/info you may need between 12 to 7PM PST.
