This is one of 400 5 speed cars sold in 1998. This is the last year Saab made the 9000 and is arguably the best year. The car has 225 hp Aero spec drivetrain and came loaded with every option. I used this as my every day car last year and put 20,000 miles on it. It has been looked after by Saab experts: European Auto in Norwalk, CT. Work done by me: Swapped front fenders, gas tank strap, trans fluid change, Interstate battery, cabin air filter, fuel filter change, spark plugs, new rear brake lines, k&n air filter drop in, Mike D stage 1 ecu tune, new rear brake calipers & rear brake pads, oil cooler, AC compressor, Sachs rear shocks (rear shock towers are solid), poly rear sway bar bushings, new front brake pads and brake rotors, replaced turbo vacuum lines, added Aero skirts and front seats, catback exhaust- passed emissions recently. Work done by previous owner in 2013 & 2014: replaced fuel pump, ball joints, both idler pulleys, driver belt, water pump, thermostat. The car has had $5,000 in work done in the last few years and have receipts to show this. Needs- front tires, windshield washer bottle is cracked (like nearly all 9000s), emergency brake cables need replacing, motor mounts could use done sooner than later. The car averages about 27-28 mpg in mixed driving and gets close to 35 mpg all highway. AC blows cold and all power options work. The car pulls very strongly with the ecu tune and is a excellent highway car. These aero 9000s are getting really hard to find in decent shape. Car is for sale locally and auction may end at any time.
