Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a very nice BMW 530i sedan. I purchased it used from Grand Blanc BMW in Michigan about 4 years ago with 64k miles on it. It has served me very well as a daily driver for over 110k miles, and has been maintained by an independent certified BMW mechanic during my ownership. A copy of all service records will be available to the next owner. The title is clear with no accidents. This is an extremely clean, nice riding car! Maintenance history during the past 4 years and 110k miles (service records available):Synthetic oil changes every 5-7k milesNew Battery (January 2012 - 77k miles)New Cooling System Fan Clutch and Auxiliary Fan (June 2012 - 87k miles)New starter (July 2012 - 91k miles)New Oil Separator (CCV) with Cold Climate Kit / Resealed Oil Filter Housing (Nov 2012 - 104k miles)New Left Rear Ball Joint (March 2013 - 116k miles)Replaced Valve Cover Gasket / Replaced Spark Plugs (April 2013 - 120k miles)New Rear Pads/Rotors - Replaced Differential Fluid - Replaced Fuel Filter (Nov 2013 - 137k miles)New Front Struts / Thrust Arm Bushings / Left Sway Bar (April 2014 - 149k miles)New Radiator (May 2014 - 150k miles)Replaced Dashboard Bulbs (June 2014 - 153k miles)New Tires (all 4) - New Right Rear Toe Link - 4-wheel Alignment (September 2014 - 160k miles)Replaced DISA Valve (November 2014 - 167k miles)New Rear Tail Lights and Connectors (December 2014 - 170k miles)New Light Control Module (LCM) (May 2015 - 174k miles) Interior Condition:The interior is in very nice, above average condition. The leather seats are near perfect with no rips or tears. The wood trim looks sharp. The pixels all light up, and everything works as it should (A/C, power accessories, sound system, heated leather seats and steering wheel, power seats with driver's memory function). Exterior Condition: The deep black paint still has a nice shine to it. Being 12 years old with 175k miles it has the usually paint chips and minor scratches found on most daily drivers of this age and mileage, however I'd consider it above average. The alloy wheels look really nice with no curb rash. All four tires have about 15k miles on them. The exterior heated mirrors are starting to show some discoloration around the edges as they tend to do on these cars. Also, there's a crack that recently developed on the passenger side of the windshield. The Xenon headlights are in decent shape, and both rear taillights were recently replaced along with the taillight connectors.Drivability: This car is still a joy to drive. The inline 6 is powerful, tight, and very smooth. The suspension is tight with many new parts mentioned above. It drives very smooth at all speeds, and I wouldn't hesitate letting my daughter drive it cross country. There is a slight pulsation when applying the brakes so the front rotors may be slightly warped. Both the rotors, pads and pad sensor are fairly new and the car stops very well without issue. Also, the torque convertor triggers the Service Engine Soon (SES) light saying "slow to engage" per my mechanic. This started happening over 3 years ago at about 75k miles, however the convertor still engages, and the car consistently gets great gas mileage. Per my mechanic, this is a common issue with some 530i's. He said I could replace the torque convertor to make the SES light go away, or some of his clients will just live with it and never have an issue. I've lived with it for 100k miles and the transmission still shifts very smooth without any issues. He did suggest replacing the transmission fluid even though these are "sealed for life" transmissions per BMW. Summary: This is a very nice car that has served me well for the past few years. It has a well-documented service history and has been maintained which will become evident when you drive it. I purchased a new car as my daily driver so this is just taking up space in my driveway and ready for a new home. All-weather floor mats, two key fobs (one works remotely), owners manual and roof rack are all included. Please ask me any questions about the car or let me know if you want additional pictures. Due to the torque convertor triggering the SES light, I'm running this as a no-reserve auction instead of setting a high reserve price. Thanks for your interest.
