1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 Automatic 4-speed transmission and electronic fuel injected 4.0L inline 6-cylinder engine It was restored the last few months by a mechanic with over 40 years experience with Land Cruisers. New California registration as of 2/28/15. Passed smog inspection. Clean title in hand. The restoration included the following: 165-point inspection including the electrical system, cooling system, tie rods, axels, gear oil, exhaust system, timing belt, injection pump, knuckles, brakes, camshaft wear, injection pump leakage, transmission issues, flywheel noise, and more... New air conditioner/compressor New main window control module New brake lines, hoses, and fittings New oil and grease seals New spark plugs New filters New side marker lights New back light covers New exterior lights New wipers New exhaust New carpeting New battery New tires All leaks fixed Hood, doors, and tailgate alligned Front and rear bumbers rechromed Undercoating Engine steam cleaned The original user manual, tool kit, and jack are included. The manuals are rare and hard to come by. The air conditioning was just installed June 4th. The compressor was imported from Toyota Japan. It's probably the only factory OEM air conditioner on any FJ62 in the United States. The air is ice cold. The FJ62 is all original except for the following: New 'Fashion Green' paint. This was an optional color on the late 60's and early 70's FJ40. I picked this color to give the truck a more vintage look while still being consistent with the Land Cruiser tradition. Brown leather upholstery on the front and back seats. It originally came with cloth. Additional lumbar support was also added. Blaupunkt stereo/receiver and new speakers. The stereo replaces the original AM/FM cassette player, but still keeps the period look. It features Bluetooth, hands-free calling, Aux/USB inputs, and audio streaming. New manual antenna. The original automatic one is notoriuosly unreliable. Keyless entry. Tinted windows. The following are known issues: Rear wiper and fluid do not function Left turn signal indicator light may need new bulb Rear passenger door lock is a bit finicky Driver door lock sometimes doesn't lock with the physical key. It unlocks fine, and the key fob locks and unlocks fine. Please keep in mind that this is a 28 year old truck and as such has some cosmetic imperfections. This is not a $100k+ restoration, however it is a beautiful, one of a kind Land Cruiser that you will love to drive. The vehicle is sold "As Is". The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
