Vehicle Detail
This Mercedes Benz is a 30 year old car that has low miles on it. Due to its age, there are two rips in the back seat of the car that are 2 inches long. The rest of the back seat is in perfect condition. The drivers front seat has a sheep seat cover, while the passenger front seat does not. There is a protective cover for the top of the dash board to protect it from cracking due to the sunlight. I purchased this vehicle from a Navy Captain who was stationed in Maryland in 2006. It has been a daily commuter ever since. He put in extensive repairs that were basically routine maintenance. I have done the rest. There are new tires, and every part of the car is 100% operational. The air conditioner works very cold. The brakes stop on a dime, the block heater is fully functional. I put in a new JVC radio and cassette player replacing the old radio. The headlights on the front are the European model and they are functional. The power windows and seats work just fine. On the open road, this super heavy vehicle will produce 28-30 MPG, in the city, around 24-26 MPG. This is the older diesel engine and it will burn anything that is combustible. This Mercedes handles exceptionally well in snow and on ice, and like all diesel vehicles, once you release your foot from the accelerator, the vehicle will automatically slow down to an almost complete stop. This vehicle is great for the elderly and for teenagers. On a trip to Germany some years ago, I ventured into the Daimler-Benz offices in Berlin and spoke to the Chief Engineer. I asked him," what was the best Mercedes Benz ever to leave the factory"?. Thinking that he would say this years model or last years, he said that the Mercedes Benz Model 300SD made from 1978 to 1985 were the absolute best and longest running diesels ever made. Now is your chance to purchase this great automobile.
