1967 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE IN CANDYAPPLE RED Up for bid is this beautiful 1967 Mustang driver in mostly original condition with 289 V8 and automatic transmission. Equipped with power steering and power brakes this sporty looking pony is a dream to drive. We have owned this vehicle for several years and have driven it very little so we want to pass it on to another Mustang enthusiast to use and enjoy. The car presents extremely well and runs and drives great. The paint is very rich looking and the chrome is excellent. Check out the photos of the bumpers, the door handles and the outside mirrors -the chrome looks like new! Our car features the optional hood with functional turn-signal scoops and the chrome rally style wheels. It is obvious that this car has been well cared for. There are a few cosmetic flaws such as stone chips in the paint and we have tried to point them out in the photos. The convertible top is in great shape and we recently purchased a new boot cover for top down driving. The black crinkle vinyl interior has not been touched and looks very good for it's age although there is a tear in the driver's seat (see pictures). Mechanically the car is exceptional and is oil tight. The body is straight and there are no indications of bodywork or any bubbling. It was repainted in the original Candyapple Red some 15 year ago and still looks great. The only items not working properly are the odometer and the horn which are not functional. The indicated miles are 27428 but we have no idea what the actual miles are. Mileage is exempt on titles for cars of this age. The VIN decode indicates that this vehicle was built on October 26, 1966 for the Pittsburgh Sales District. The original paint was Candyapple Red and the powertrain is the 289c.i. V8 with C-4 Automatic Transmission and 3.0 to 1 Rear Axle. We are located in southwest Pennsylvania near Uniontown and have easy access to I-43.
