Vehicle Detail
This is a true 1968 Porsche 911L. It is a tremendous vehicle to restore. A true piece of Porsche history. This is the infamous "Luxury" model that only a supposed 462 ever made it to the United States. These had the ventilated "S" disc brakes, but they did have the normally aspirated "T" style motor with either a five speed or sportamatic transmission. This particular car is an aggressive project. It was purchased several years ago as a rolling body, and I will be happy to get it back to that condition for shipping or for transport so long as I have a little time to get the axles back in place and the front end back on. This car was in the process of being stripped down for restoration when I found my dream home. The transmission was purchased last year from a salvage 1970 Porsche 911S, Its condition is as of this writing unknown. The floors on this car are rusty and deteriorated in many areas. The upright body rods that hold the rear side windows have been cut away and will need to be replaced. The body itself is not in bad condition. I replaced the passenger door and rear deck lid with body panels from a 1968 Porsche 911T. The front tub seems to be in good shape. The rear body has very little rust. The roof panel and roof line seem solid. Rust will mainly be in the floors and lower door panels which is common. All the parts you see pictured go with the car. This vehicle does Not have a title. It could easily be titled. It was purchased from a salvage yard in Texas with a Bill of sale only. I will give you a notorized bill of sale, but the vehicle will need to be titled. I can arrange to have it title 42 issued here in the state of Oklahoma. Most states will allow a lost title or abandoned vehicle title of some kind to be issued. The rear window is original (it has no FM attennae lines showing. Also I have three of the four correct chromed slotted wheels for this car. One of the wheels is slightly damaged and will need attention. I will be happy to assist in any way possible with delivery of this vehicle. I do not work for free, but my fees will be minimal should you need me to deliver here in the U.S. I thank you for your time and taking the time to look. I can be reached at (405)313-4635 if you have any specific questions or need better photos. Thanks again.
