Vehicle Detail

I have a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible for sale. 390 w/automatic transmission, front disc brakes, manual windows with no A/C. The following repairs have been done: new timing chain/gears, new distributor, new fuel pump, rebuilt Autolite 4100 carburetor, new plugs and wires, new master cylinder. The rear brakes were completely redone by the previous owner with all new shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware. The front brake pads look to have been replaced also. Most of the brake lines have been replaced. The brakes have been bled and the car seems to stop fine. The exhaust system still has the paper tags on it so that looks to have been replaced not too long ago. The 390 runs fine without any noticeable smoke or noises. The fuel tank should be replaced. The previous owner said he cleaned it out but it still smells like varnish to me. I've been running it off a gas can. The transmission seems to go into drive and reverse fine. That's as far as I've tested it. I don't see any major leaks. The heater core does need to be replaced or repaired. It is currently bypassed. As for the body the front floors were replaced with ultra heavy steel by a previous owner. There is one small hole under the back seat. The rest of the undercarriage looks good including the trunk pan. The worst areas are the convertible top package tray lip, the front corner of the trunk lip and the bottom of the trunk lid. I've tried to include pictures of all the trouble areas. The car was originally yellow before being painted turquoise. Whoever painted it didn't seem to believe in primer as the paint is chipping off the hood and trunk due to poor preparation. There is some bubbling of the paint also. Both front and rear bumpers are very nice as is the front grill and taillight assembly. It also has chrome wheels, air cleaner and valve covers. The convertible top frame is perfect. 90% of the top mechanism is there to make the top operable. The only parts missing are the screw lock cables, the hydraulic hoses, two limit switches for the trunk lid and one limit switch under the package tray. I jumpered around the missing switches and the flip lid, screw lock motor, top pump and solenoids all seem to work from the switch on the dash. I tested all the relays and replaced and or cleaned any that weren't working. The top pistons and screw locks are included but not installed. The sequential lights seem to work intermittently so that needs to be looked at. The car comes with a New Jersey title. When I tried to transfer it into my name I was told that someone filled out the back and then erased it making it invalid. They told me the previous owner would need to get a duplicate issued. He did not want to get involved so it is being sold with the title as is and I will include a bill of sale. I have a reasonable reserve set. The car is being sold as is with no warranty. If you need any more pictures I will be glad to post them. Please ask all questions before bidding. Relisted for a second time due to a non paying bidder. Anyone with less than 20 feedback needs to contact me prior to bidding or your bid may be cancelled.
