I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks Up for auction is my 1966 Chevelle SS 396, A real 138, 4 speed, Marina blue car. I was told the car was an original 360hp car but have no documentation to prove it. This car is powered by a strong running 1966 396 casting #3855961 cast date is D 24 6(April 24, 1966) . The motor is equipped with a Holley cast iron intake #3866948 and a 750 Holley double pumper. The engine has a mild cam, headers, HEI distributor. The motor is a little grumpy when cold and could use a good tune from being stored but it pulls strong. It has an early Muncie 4 speed with the studded shift forks and a 3.73 10 bolt posi. The 12 bolt rear was removed years ago. The trans shifts fine and the rear works as it should, Both are quiet. It appears to still retain its original Harrison 3 core, Manual transmission radiator. The car has manual steering and brakes which still work good. The body has one old repaint over the original Marina blue. This car does have filler in the usual spots such as lower fenders, Doors, Quarters, Front of hood. The body does need to be gone over and the paint is faded worse than it looks and needs to be redone. There are lots of touch ups throughout the paint. The trunk does have some old repair work. The floors are pretty nice with some small repair work up front. The frame is solid and clean. The SS 396 control arm braces are still in place. The rear window area between the trunk and glass is very nice, It is usually rotted on most of these cars. The interior has the correct buckets but not the correct covers(GTO). The carpet, Door panels and rear seat are all new. The interior is complete and in good shape but it still needs a few things(Dash pad, Dash chrome, etc.) It still has its original black steering wheel which is in nice shape. Overall it is a real decent car to drive now with a little work and restore later. Once restored It has a very desirable color combo of Marina blue with a black interior and its a real SS as well.
