Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 2004 BMW 530i. I purchased it in 2008 with 42k miles, and put 100k highway miles on it using it to commute from Ohio to West Virginia weekly for a few years, then Ohio to Florida. Highway miles like putting cruise control on for 3 hours at a time - the shop that just replaced the brakes was amazed to find the original pads and rotors at 134k miles. I recently drove it from Ohio to Florida to San Francisco, where I don't need two cars - so this one has to go. It is silver with black interior. It is a 6-speed manual (three pedals, folks!). It drives great, no issues at all driving the 2500-mile roadtrip recently. The car is tinted with no scratches or peeling on the tint or glass. Exterior is in great shape. Since I've had it it was garaged most of the time at home and not driven in the snow, it gets washed and waxed regularly. No rust or paint damage. There is some highway rash on the front bumper, as well as a light scratch on the trunk deck lid where a power company dropped a live power line on it. The interior is BMW's "leatherette". Front seats are heated and power. The heaters and airbags sensors were replaced by the dealer under a recall in 2012. Seats are in great shape and all power options/heat work. All lights, blinkers, electronics work. I have the service history for the car, in the last 6k miles I had the entire top of the engine opened up and rubber/plastic/gaskets/oil plumbing replaced, new valve cover, filters, flushed brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, spark plugs, battery, and all brake work done (pads, rotors, sensors). I did this in anticipation of keeping the car forever and did everything preventative that the BMW forums and my shop recommended; total service was around $2700. Oil has been changed well before the iDrive says, generally 5-7k miles (BMW says to change it at 15k). Tires were new at 109k miles and have plenty of tread left. Everything is in balance and also had an alignment at that time. Tires are Kumho Ecsta 245/45/18 on 18x8 rims. I have the BMW roof rack rails for the car as well. It will accept Thule and most usual bike racks/etc. I used it with a roof box for my cross country trips. Comes with 2 keys. Car has a clean Ohio title. No damage history. I also have the BMW Service Manuals for the car (all 1100 pages worth) as well as a USB interface with the BMW dealer software that can do diagnostics and dealer-only-service (like flushing brake fluid from the ABS booster, etc). I can arrange shipping if you don't want to pick it up. Last I shipped a car it was $1400 coast to coast, but I've seen $500-700 if you aren't in a hurry. The car is currently parked in a shop space in Burlingame, CA, about 15 miles south of San Francisco and maybe 5 minutes from the SFO airport. I can arrange for you to come check it out during the auction.
