Vehicle Detail

Since my project truck sold, its time to sell the parts truck that I had to go with it. I always felt it was too nice to be a parts truck but it would be an ambitious project. I did not get a title with it and do not have a title to it. I can provide a bill of sale but know that going into the auction. I do not have a reserve or buy it now on the truck but am starting it at what I believe is a minimum of the major parts I could sell off of it. I do not know the exact year, but it is a first series power wagon WDX truck. I believe they were made from 1946-1950. The engine is the truck turns over but I never did get it started. It is the longer block (25 1/2") and not original to the truck. The numbers stamped on it are N45679 I believe. I am not sure what the engine is out of. The transmission, transfer case, all driveshafts, and axles are there and turn as they should. The main frame is decent but the rear crossmember has some damage underneath and the crossmember at the front rear spring hanger has some rust through in it. I tried to take a photo of this. The truck has the original fuel tank but it has some damage as well. The radiator looks good. At one time there was a snowplow frame on the front. They cut the original bumper out to mount it. This was not a winch equipped truck. The cab is going to need a lot of work. The top is full of old bondo and I have no idea what is under it. The doors aren't too bad looking but both have rust in the lower corner by the hinge, and they are both cracking at the bottom hinge mount. The passenger door also has a big hole in the door jamb from ??? The hood is only the top panel. One "power" is missing. The complete set is pitted but the one lone "wagon" emblem is very nice. The gauges are rebuildable as well as the steering wheel. If you are looking at this you know they are getting more expensive all the time. The windshield frame has no rust through that I can find and is in very nice shape. The original hand crank adjuster turns and moves as it should. These are also getting valuable. The bed sides are in pretty good shape. They have a number of holes that would need to be welded shut but other than some damage at the very ends of the rails, they are very savable. The front panel is not too bad either. No tailgate and the wood was all rotted out of it. The rear fenders are junk. Not sure how they managed to destroy them like they did. All 4 tires hold air and it rolls and steers. No brakes of course. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. I can assist in loading it onto your carrier but you will need to arrange all of that, and they will need to work with my schedule. Please ask any questions and don't wait til the end to do so as I work unusual hours and days at times.
