Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1997 Ford Powerstroke 7.3 which is in perfect mechanical shape. The truck does need a few things which I will touch on in the posting. I recently bought the truck from a buddy of mine and spend 3000 rebuilding the transmission which has 10 miles on it. The truck straights right up, has zero blow by, no knocks, tinks or anything that shouldn't be there. The engine suspension, all brakes, tires, transmission are all brand new. I would drive this truck cross country without any hesitations.Engine:Engine has 148,020 miles on it and runs perfectlyEngine is dry and no leaks in the valley, from the turbo or high pressure oil pumpWithin the last 2000 miles, both alternators were replaced along with the serpentine beltThe glow plugs and resisters were changed in the fall of 2014. The truck starts in any weather and barley needs to be plugged inHas a K and N intake Replaced the rear seal on the motor when the transmission was rebuilt Transmission:Transmission was just rebuilt from Gold Seal Transmission in Upper Saddle River, NJ. I replaced the entire transmission with all "heavy" duty components, all bolts, connectors are top of the line, I had a new valve body installed and drilled out to increase line pressure, heavy duty torque converter, biller input shaft, etc etc. Your best bet is to call Gold Seal to find out all the specs if your interested. The transmission has a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty. The transmission should hold up to any abuse unless you start making serious HP. The owner of the shop dosen't like to call it "fully built" but rather used the term "heavy duty." You sure feel the shifts and how tight the transmission shifts when driving. The increase of line pressure sure makes a huge difference. Replaced all transmission linesInstalled a transmission cooler and fanSuspension/TiresMost of the suspension components are new and have under 5000 miles on them6" Rough Country LiftEngine front end was rebuilt with all moog componentsThe bushing in the front were replaced (whichever needed to be replaced was taken care of) Tires have roughly 2500 miles on them37.5/13.6/16I forget the rims off the top of my headTruck has 2" spacers in the front and back Suspension is super super firm but rides nicelyThe tires are aggressive but don't "hum" when riding on the road Brakes:Brand new front brake rotors and padsBrand New rear brake shoes along with calipers and brake linesReplaced most of the brake linesBrakes are perfect in the truck The brakes don't need anything at all! Performance:Truck had a DP Tuner with 4 settings1) Stock2) plus 80 hp3) Tow 4) plus 140hp---truck moves in this mode!!!-5" Diamond Eye exhaust-IntakeI have auto meter silver gauges in the truck with Boost, Transmission temperature and EGT gauges. All gauges work Body:The only real flaw on the truck is the body, the truck mechanically, performance and safety wise is good to go, there is easily over 15k worth of parts and labor in the truck and I was waiting to mess with the body last -Both rear quarters panels are rotted as shown in the pictures but the under part of the bed is in good condition with only minor surface rust -Body lower cab corners have rust -the driver side fender has some rust but it did not penatrate through the metal its more surface rust thanks to the small fender flare -Underneath the drive side floor board where the frame mount meets the cab is starting to show some signs of rustwhat you see if what you get with the rust, there is no rust on the frame, no surface rust on the frame either, its what it listed above is what the main problem is. The body does sit straight, if you are a welded or have someone that can weld for decently cheap, the truck could be restored for not a lot of money. i don't have the knowledge or time to repair this truck otherwise I would. I would like to touch base on a small oil leak which the truck has. I am not familiar with the 7.3's I am more into the 12v Cummins. The mechanic at the transmission shop said the transmission pan is either leaking from the rear seal or from the oil dip stick tube. I would have the cross member cut out, replace the seal and reweld the cross member back into place. I am trying to be 100 percent honest with the truck She has a ton of potential and a ton of money and time invested. I honestly with I had the time but I just bought a house and made that my project. If you are able to perform the body work and very small mechanical work, you will be super pleased with this truck. The A/C blows ice cold and heat blows HOT!
