Vehicle Detail
NOTE: SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY, PLEASE. WE ARE SELLING BELOW LOW BOOK, BUT ARE NOT GIVING AWAY THIS CAR. Our 2006 Hyundai Elantra is a real gem in very good condition. It’s a one-owner car… almost. To explain: We have only owned it for 10 weeks. We are in New Jersey on a temporary 3-month assignment, and I bought this car for my wife to use while I was at work here. It was owned by a co-worker’s daughter who bought it new, called it “her baby”, and had to sell it since she joined the Peace Corps. She indeed treated it like “her baby”, and my wife has enjoyed it for her 10 weeks with it. But soon, we have to leave for our home in California where we already have two cars. We can't take it with us, so it now needs a new (permanent) home. As shown in the pictures it is dark blue with a light Gray interior. It’s a wonderful, reliable, and economical drive. My wife has enjoyed it and will miss it. EVERTHING works, and works well. I am not a dealer, so you will save significant money by purchasing from a private seller (me). Also, I have bought and sold on eBay for many years and have a 100% feedback rating from over 200 transactions. It has a clean title, it was just inspected so that is good until 2017, and we had new front brakes and a new battery professionally installed (documentation will be provided on request). The car is exceptionally comfortable; it has a nice, quiet ride. It handles well and is smooth, responsive, and predictable in every situation including shopping center parking lots, and it cruises well on the freeways. There are a couple of cosmetic items worth noting. There is a small dent that I will point out by the right front headlight. There are also a couple of scratches in the paint above the right front tire. They are hard to see; note the passenger's side view, in the pictures. This particular Elantra has traveled approximately 148,100 miles since new; which is less than 15,000 miles per year, considered by most in New Jersey (and California) as average mileage. I have all of the original manuals and original literature from Hyundai. The engine starts immediately and runs well; it does not smoke, does not run hot, and the A/C blows cold. In addition to the new front brakes and new battery, it was just inspected and had an oil change. I would rate this vehicle at “Very Good”. In spite of the Kelly Blue Book low book "Private Party" value of $3,041 (see the last picture), I am setting a reserve price at $2,695. That will protect me and will also let the bidder win at a nice value. The car is at our hotel in Stanhope, NJ (45 miles west of New York City). Email me any questions, and I'll do my best to answer promptly. Thanks for looking. On May-09-15 at 15:29:17 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY, PLEASE.
