Up for sale is this extremely original, 2 owner 1980 Datsun280ZX. It’s an unmolested survivor with 95K original miles. The second owner bought the car in 1984 and has owned it ever since. I purchased the car recently from the elderly woman’s mechanic who has maintained the car for years and years. The mechanic was selling the car locally to help out because the husband died. The car was driven as a pleasure vehicle mainly. Everything works including the trouble light under the hood, all interior lights (including map light), rear hatch struts, clock ect, ect. Parts recently replaced include, belts, battery, plugs, plug wires, fluids (oil and antifreeze) and rear hatch struts. The car has a period correct Alpine tape player head unit. The Michelin tires have tons of tread, the clutch grabs excellent, transmission shifts like butter, air conditioning will freeze you out and the heater blows hot. The car runs and drives great with no smoke, weird noises and tracks straight as an arrow. The interior is a time capsule and the dash is in perfect shape with no cracks what so ever. There are two interior pieces that are cracked. The a pillar plastic cover and the rear shock tower plastic cover. (see pic) There are the normal door dings, scratches and wear and tear that you would expect on a 35 year old car. The car has been repainted the original color at some point in its life. The paint isn’t perfect but presents well. Again, not show quality paint. Please understand that this is a 35 year old car with 95k miles. It is absolutely not a show car as expected. Mint, super low mileage examples (if you can find them) sell for triple what I’m asking. What it is..is a really nice, original unmolested driver that runs/drives great and everything works. Also included is the original spare tire, tools, Datsun tire inflator can, owner’s manual and a clear Texas title and title transfer paperwork.
