If I find a shipper, I reserve the right to end the auction so I can finally get the car shipped to me! 1958 BERKLEY ROADSTER VINTAGE RACE CAR – RACE, STREET or BOTH! When last used, this Berkeley was a street legal car, not a designated race track only car. It has a California license plate showing it was last registered in 1979. The title was lost and it is way off the DMV system, but wouldn't be hard to get a title if you wanted to put it back on the street. IT HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS, BUT COMES WITH LOTS OF EXTRA PARTS. COOL LITTLE MICRO CAR. LOOKS LIKE IT WAS RACED HARD AND IT HAS THE EXPECTED BUMPS AND BRUISES, SCRAPES, CRACKS, NICKS AND CHIPS. Sorry, I don’t have any paperwork or log books, but who knows what a little research might turn up? The car was clearly modified for racing with the number 7, the Mobil Pegasus (sponsor??) and even the light on the trunk for the pit crew to see the car on the track at night. These cars were raced successfully in their class in the day and even raced at LeMans! PERFECT RESTORATION CANDIDATE OR MODIFY TO FLY WITH A YAMAHA RAPTOR ENGINE OR ???? BECAUSE IT DOES NOT CURRENTLY ROLL, IT HAS BEEN SECURED TO A CUSTOM-MADE CART/DOLLY FOR TRANSPORT THAT COMES WITH THE CAR. IT IS MISSING THE ORIGINAL WHEELS, DRUMS AND HUBS, IT HAS GM 12' WHEELS WITH ADAPTERS YOU CAN USE AND MODIFY, I TRIED LOOKING FOR THE HUBS AND DRUMS BUT CANT FIND ANY, I KNOW THEY ARE OUT THERE, BUT I HAVE GOTTEN IN WAY OVER MY HEAD RIGHT NOW ON PROJECTS. THERE IS A MOTOR, ITS IN SAD SHAPE, THERE IS THE DIFFERENTIAL WHICH IS COOL, CHAIN DRIVE, AND THE JACK SHAFTS OR DRIVE AXLES ARE THERE, THERE IS A WHOLE SUB FRAME SOMEONE MADE FOR A BIG MOTOR, IT HAS THE SPINDLES AND A-ARMS, THERE ARE LOTS OF NUTS AND BOLTS, GAUGES, BUT ITS MISSING THE SPEEDO, THERE IS WIRING, SWITCHES, WINDSHIELD FRAME, BUMPER GUARDS, ETC.... THERE IS NO TITLE, SOLD WITH BILL OF SALE ONLY, SOLD AS A PARTS CAR OR RACE CAR IT’S LIGHT ENOUGH FOR TWO OR THREE PEOPLE TO PICK UP, FOUR PEOPLE IF IT HAS TO GO IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK ASK YOUR QUESTIONS NOW, NOT AFTER THE AUCTION IF YOU DO NOT SEND A DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 hours OF THE AUCTION’S END, you will be turned in to eBay as a non paying bidder.
