Up for sale is my GS400 Cafe racer. This bike has been heavily modified and is not just a stripped down factory machine. The engine work was completed by H&H Cycle Center in Osceola Mills. The engine work includes boring the cylinders to 425 C.C. and installing New 425 pistons with rings. The head was milled true and the combustion chambers were C.C.ed, polished, the valves unshrouded, and the intake/ exhaust runners were ported and polished. The camshafts were sent to Megacycle Cams, where they welded up the lobes and ground new, more aggressive profiles on them. The electric start motor and gearing were removed to save weight(about 12 pounds!) The carbs. were flow tested and optimized for this engine. It now makes approx. 45HP. The forks have been rebuilt using Progressive brand springs with new seals. The bodywork involves moving the tail onto the seat pan, which eliminates the second seat(the tail flips up with the seat)by cutting the seat short and having it recovered. There is a new set of aluminum handlebars and bar end mirrors, new turn signals, and a set of GS450 wheels with the front fender shortened and raised to match the 21" front wheel. A stainless steel front brake line and cross drilled front brake rotor complete the excellent brake system. The exhaust headers have been wrapped, and bullet mufflers from a Harley have been fitted. With a custom, yet stock appearing paint job you would never know it didn't leave the factory this way. 12,636 miles on the odometer, about 3500 on the engine. It will include a stock seat pan if you would like to return the tail to factory. Also included are the electric start components. Tires are good. My brother owned it for five years, and I have owned it for fourteen years. No info on previous owners. I haven't started it in two years due to injury, and can no longer ride it.
