i HAVE A 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 Pweter in color Short bed 4.3 v-6 with manual transmission 5 speed. Here's the story took this in on trade a while back and was driving home from work and it quit I had it towed home. first thing I did was shot starting fluid down the air breather and it would not start then pulled a spark plug off and put a plug in it, laid it on the manifold and it looks to not be firing. I am not a certified mechanic I have no idea what could have happened. I only drove this about a week before this happened so I never got around to putting the title in my name it is just signed on the back and ready for the new owner to notarize and transfer to them. The title is still in the original owners name who purchased it new. The title shows only 238 miles when it was purchased new and has never been re-titled although the truck shows 198,000 on the dash. The engine is 4.3 v-6 manual transmission 5 speed. Both rockers are rust, Passenger window does not go up and down why I do not know .. The tailgate needs the hinge kit and handle replaced. The rear bumper is rusty. The bed is Rhino lined. I noticed the battery goes dead after 3 or 4 days.I notice the grill is not an exact fit. It has power sterling, power brakes, and air, it has manual windows and manual locks am/fm raido.
